Bind on use siege?

It's already a thing for armor so why not siege? I'm tired of my siege being taken by those too cheap and lazy to acquire their own, especially frustrating when its coldfire. General siege items are easy as hell to get, while I do understand its a 'war' effort and all siege is used to help the faction it shouldn't give others a right to take what doesn't belong to them. Coldfire is taken all the time and its not easy to get like general siege.

Siege should be trade-able/sell-able and account bind after you use it just like equipping armor.

No. If you run in an organised group you sometimes put down siege for others or use your group members siege while they fight/heal/place more siege. Whoever is using your siege is helping your faction more than 90% of players and you should be grateful, because you can operate additional 2 to 4 sieges then.

This is my main reason against it as well.

As I raid leader I would always run around with extra siege and place them for people who said they didn't have any (don't get out of sieging in my raids!)

If they add any kind of feature to restrict access then they need to make it a toggle of some kind so we can keep giving newbies and lazy players siege when we want, but restrict it when running solo.

Then they should make it lockable/unlockable for when you WANT to share it and when you do not.

I agree, some toggle of some-sort so everyone is happy. I just want randoms hands off my expensive coldfire siege.

It is annoying, but it would be even more when my buddies need to do something else and I won't be able to tap their siege for them, so just rage out in /yell with his name, most newbies let go of the siege. I mean often people don't know that they are offending anyone by 'stealing' a placed siege. And if it is an expirienced player, just flame him even harder :D

I place siege for others all of the time, I hate sitting there and PvWall. Making them BoP would suck.

I'd rather heal people, put up siege shields, and chase down gankers.

annoys the hell out of me when I'm running a few siege and someone comes along and starts using it , especially when the move the direction of it too

Annoys the hell out of me when one guy, for example, puts oils all over the door taking up every available spot and then complains when anyone hops on one of "his" oils to keep them pouring on the zerg below.

Come to think of it, what happens in this situation with bound siege equipment when that guy takes a lethal arrow to the face? The oils stop pouring and you're prevented from placing any usable ones anywhere helpful. Sounds to me like you've just shot yourself in the foot. Not to mention it leaves another door wide open for trolls and griefers I think.

Just as you are annoyed by those who would place siege and RIP, its annoying when a 15k (depending on market) coldfire siege is taken from you by someone who feels entitled to use your equipment. If someone stuns you while on your coldfire you have to cc break or if you drop to heal against counter-siege and another person hops on, your siege is at their mercy. There is jack you can do when said person gets your coldfire burnt up, used up without repairing it or just outright pockets it. It's just gone and you're screwed.

At the very least, even if siege merchant purchased siege is not bound (cause its cheap af anyway I don't care when someone takes that siege), coldfire siege SHOULD be after use if you don't intend to sell it in gstore. There isn't enough of it around to create the placement problem you mentioned above.

I just politely ask for a compromise here, there has to be something that can be done so no one is put off.

I can see your point when it comes to coldfire siege. I wasn't aware someone could pack it up and walk away with it in their back pocket though. I thought all they could do was hop on and fire the thing.

At any rate, my point still stands. There's more to be concerned about than who is using who's equipment to throw flaming rocks and sticks at other people.

Having the coldfire equipment only bound isn't a particularly bad idea. Does restrict people from placing that siege for others, but as you said, it's not like there's an overabundance of coldfire siege to begin with.

Bind on use would backfire because some troll(s) would lay out 20 siege at a keep and your faction wouldn't be able to knock down walls or defend. I would rather be able to pick it up at will when the siege is ready to fire again kind of like rams.

Locking sieges? Hell no! As @Odditorium wrote it could be realy easy abused to lock defenders or attackers with siege limit. All we need is being able to kick anyone using our siege, like when you try to use your own siege with someone in it he gets kicked while you can use it as usual.

Yes you can. You put it down, they grab it and put it away in their bags. As for fitting a whole treb in your actual pocket now that's another story.

Some might insist their 'pocket' already has a treb in it. ;)
