Too many people botting

So today I decided I wanted to do some dolmans. Went to the Desert and to the dolmens there. Noticed there are at least 6 people just constantly attacking nothing and casting abilities on the same spot. Seems that its casted as soon as the cool down is up. I'm like "ok maybe they are just really clicking forever or sitting there taping the same stuff over and over." Come back 4 hours later and all the same people are there. Bring it up in chat and suddenly mi a bad person and called names' because I said I reported them

It's OBVIOUS BOTTING. I don't think its allowed but maybe I'm wrong? I would really care that much if it were just one or 2 guys but the whole dolmens were full of them.

ESO! You have an option to report for it but for some reason everyone think its ok? will you ever actually do anything for it?

Ignore the trolls in zone chat and just keep reporting them. THAT is what the report feature is for. Whether or not ZOS will get off their hind quarters and do anything is another story and we mere peons will never know.

For what it is worth, I have often suspected the same thing occurring at certain Dolmens in particular. Regardless, the behavior of the players who are doing it is called "camping".

In some games like ESO, camping is most often found in the context of PvP. One player's character repeatedly remains at the location of a fight which they have won, especially if the other player's character is not strong enough to be likely to kill the camper's PC. Then the camper's PC attacks the other player's character each time that the victim is resurrected at the site where they were killed, instead of at the nearest Wayshrine. Of course, such camping is not very common at ESO locations where the resurrecting PC can flee before the resurrection is completed and the PC cannot quickly be attacked again.

As another PvP example, one or more PCs can "camp" at the entrance and/or exit of a delve or dungeon in Cyrodil, and attack any enemy PC(s) which attempt to enter and/or leave it.

Unfortunately, while playing ESO, I encountered a group of PCs who were "insta-killing" a Public Dungeon boss each time the boss re-spawned, thus preventing other PCs from completing the quest for that dungeon. Those camping on the boss were engaged in an act implicitly hostile toward the other players, an activity which is usually called "harshing" or "griefing". After I carefully documented the participation of each hostile player's PC with a screenshot that included the player's name, and submitted the report for each one to ZOS, that dungeon was re-designed for the next major update. It is now impossible for such a group to engage in that practice there.

Be that as it was, I do not know whether ZOS always frowns upon camping per se.

ZOS does penalize "botting", which is a PC that acts without enough input from the player. Typically, the player uses an add-on that controls their PC in the course of some activity, such as following a route of crafting materials nodes and/or gathering from those which have spawned. In other words, the PC acts as if it is a "robot". As far as I know, "botting" is forbidden by the ZOS ESO Terms of Service agreement.

Of course, a PC controlled primarily by an add-on could, conceivably, engage in the "camping" activity which you described. If that is in fact what occurs with one or more of the PCs, then ZOS should acknowledge your reports and investigate to determine whether the Terms of Service are being violated.
