Frequent infinite loading screens when fast traveling

Seems like at least once per play session, i will go to fast travel somewhere and get stuck on the loading screen. The music plays, the ES symbol spins, but it never actually finishes loading. Only way to get past it, is to ALT-F4 and restart the game.
Happens to my fiancee's computer as well (but often at different times).
Very frustrating. Anyone found a solution for this?
