DK Bow PVP build questions

I have been using a bow DK Khajit build in PVP for a while now. Don't hate me but I loved exploiting the viper disease enchantment bug as it made bow hit super hard. I know people don't like gankers or proc sets but the items are ingame to be used.
As Viper does not proc on disease and poison anymore I am looking for a decent bow build. Before Vipers I used 5 Hundings, 2 leki, 3 agility and 1 piece monster. I could almost do the same damage as Viper could but Viper combined with Veli was just so much fun to use that I am wondering if there is something similar. To be honest I hate the fact that range does not have a decent proc set like viper. Red Mountain sucks as it only procs on luck (10%) and so do the other proc sets, for PVP Viper seems to be the most steady non monster proc set.

I do not like the Alchemist set as the damage only works when drinking a potion. I rather have a little less but constant damage as I run around my group as a support player instead of solo gank. I tend to run through the keep battles killing people around me and supporting the melee fighters by ticking off the mages and snipers on the keeps.

At the moment I am using 5 Marksmen, 5 Hundings and 1 piece Veli but would love some insight on a heavy hitting bow build. I can hit hard, in many case its heavy attack, poison injection = RIP but I would want to know if I can even hit harder with different sets so that I can even do decent damage to shield users.

For example would 5 Marksmen, 5 Spriggan, 1 Veli/ Kragh hit much harder then my current build? Are there any PVP bow users who could exchange thoughts about this?

Spriggan/Kragh is damage loss versus shield and shield stackers are IMHO the worst enemy for bow build. So thats up to you.
Versus heavy armor (possibly even medium) is spriggan better damage than hundings and kragh better than veli.

If you have more poison sources (like lethal arrow), morag tong set is +10% to poison damage and gives you only 42 weapon damage less than hunding.

If you have maelstorm bow and dont mind losing the direct burst of bow enchantment, you can use mael+poison setup to get 180WD from single piece (instead of 129 from 1 veli)

If you want to go for top damage while having access to some monster set combo you can do 5 + agi + mael + 2 monster. You will have 202 more damage than with hunding+veli, slightly more stamina, but lose ~1200 crit rating if you go for veli with kena or 60 less than your setup but with added bonuses of monster set/

So it would seem you intend on playing a skirmisher type bow build. As in you want to be able to get into some combat with out having to run away due to being uber squish. I am running a REALLY fun double bow set for open world PvP. (Im not the best at dueling but im sure in the right hands the build would rock socks in a duel). I run marks/hawkeye/ 1x kena (although i think a vmsa bow would be better). Four impen, decent heals. I can stand toe to toe with most players and atleast have a chance, even without rally heal/ buff. Although having rally and two handed offbar for dueling would probably be best.
Now i am a templar, and there are a few tools i have that you do not, but for the most part it should play the same. It also shocks the elitist players who get confused when they see me snipe at two meters away.

Reasons i use double bow are that i get the damage bonuses from gear, i get to use toxic barrage for a RANGED ultimate, my dodge roll speed boost bow passive works great with vigor on off/ defensive bar, and in zerg play my AOE from the bow is OUTSTANDING. Main bar filled up with single target skills and camo hunter for crit and the bugged damage bonus (you get it if ur being healed while instealth, instead of the stated tootip that give you buff on a in stealth crit.) Also the gear is rediculously easy to get.

Lolz...a DK with bow mainbar and two handed off bar heavy attack focused, with heavy attack boosting skill? Yeah RIP. Plus heavies are free! Hawkseye does as good or slightly better than hundings imo. Yeah man good luck

Hmmm both dound good. Sadly I have no acces to maelstrom or masterbow. Hope someone would wanna do the arena with me for masters bow.

Both the morag tong or hawkseye sound great. I run and gun up close or far away. As a vamp I use mist to run from a target go to stealth throw up the mage skill and heavy attack poison inject and RIP. My main attack is the heavy combo poison and my ulti as it raises very fast. Backbar is to finish em off with crit rush or execute and buff. Dk skills give me a superb hitting heavy atk and good weap dmg. Got some fighters skills on main for passive.

Does Morag also procs on poison enchantment? Atm using disease. Which would be better morag or hawk. Btw im all divine and warrior as everyone wears impen. Crit had no use and my fighting style is kill fast or die.

What do you mean proc. It procs on any weapon attack and it applies to any poison damage including enchant. It does not buff the attacks that procs it the first time, so cant tell you directly if the first enchant proc is buffed by it (technically enchant proc is second attack so in theory it should be)

Thats what I wanted to know. If morag 15% also adds on poinson enchantment. Ill buy morag then and put poison on the bow. Sounds solid.

Purple Morag with marks and 1 veli hits a tad harder then my gold hundings. When golding out I think I might see a real difference. Should I go poison potions on my bow bar? Or does poison not bring that much?

Btw is there any other good and steady bow build out there? I dont mind being a glass canon or not having resources.

Depends, if your usual target dies withing ~3sec its better to have enchantments for the initial burst (also they are guaranteed proc, while poisons are 10%)

For other builds there isnt very good varierty for bow, it always combination of Marksmen, Hawkeye, Spriggan, Hunding, Morag Tong, Alchemist a Eternal Hunt.

You can check alcasthq.com for his newest pvp bow build (for NB). But he goes full glass cannon ganking setup I dont think that would work well for DK. And ultimately its just good old combination or marksmen and hawkeye (not to fault of alcast, the choice of useful bow sets is just that limited)

But poison potion is 10% chance to go off? Enchantment is more powerfull? Whats the whole reason for poison pots then?

Poisons ("potions") are more damage but it takes more time. Enchantment procs (for example) for 3k dmg on first hit, while poison ("potion") has 10% chance to proc and deal (for example) 3times more damage, but over 6 second period.

I've been trying out a new DK bow build. 5 Sergeant's mail, 5 Automaton with a sharp maelstrom bow and 2 hand. I go 5 medium with damage enchants on the sergeants jewelry. Put fighters guild skills on the bow bar with flawless dawnbreaker to top off the weapon damage. I get 16-20k crit heavy attacks in pvp. The biggest attack I've seen was 24k. Release the heavy attack with a silver shards for the biggest burst damage. I've had lots of 1 shot kills with this.

Stamina DK build for me is dual wield 5 Salvation (werewolf ultimate) 2 wep 3 armor, 2 slimecraw, and 5 Morag Tong.

Bow bar same but with only 4 Salvation. Lots of stamina lots of poison damage.

Make a NB BOW and you will be happier ... except for PVE of course..
