Puzzle in Quarry Conumdrum (Orsinium DLC) is stuck

For a couple of weeks now, the dwemer orb puzzle you need to solve in the "Quarry Conumdrum" quest is somehow stuck.
After you enter the room, speak with Neramo the mage and he's explain how the contraption works - and thus explain you the puzzle - you need to interact with an object lebeled "Reset Lever" in other to progress with the quest. After multiple interactions with the lever nothing happens... The puzzle doesn't reset, the objective doesn't change (you stil need to interact with the lever) and off course, the quest remained stuck there.
For the frustration of my fellow players in the room, it's clear that the problem doesn't seems to affecting only me.

The lever has nothing to do with solving the puzzle. The lever is used to reset the puzzle in the case that you mess up and want to start from the beginning.
To complete the puzzle you will notice that there are 3 tables between Neramo and the puzzle mechanism. Each of these tables has a whirly mechanism on them. You attack the whirly things to change the state of the puzzle.
I won't give the solution, as that can be found easy enough with google, but the above should get you started on trying to solve it yourself.
