If you find out which set, don't forget to mention in here
As of current the latest "balance" patch made magblade almost extinct is my guess.
I really wish there where separate class forums so we could comfort each other.

Prob Stygian?
Anyways, MagBladed are far from extinct. The only actual nerf we got was the cost increase to Soul Harvest, which no longer has a place on my bars . The increase to Strife is neglectable
But with the changes to Destro Staves as well as the range increase to Impale and Assassin's Will proc hitting harder, MagBlades can still be annoying and strong in PvP

I am not really into staves, but I prefer dual wield. Why do other players prefer staff? Does it hit harder with heavy attacks or more crit?
Start off with a Merciless Resolve buff, then Cloak with Shadowy Disguise for the guaranteed crit. Quick Magelight, Cloak, then charge up your Heavy Fire Attack. I can get like 16-17k Heavy Attacks with this setup.

Hey, people gotta eat, right?

I feel the same way. Melee magblade was my favorite play style and now to be competitive you have to play staff. Maybe one day they can return to their former glory...ScruffyWhiskers wrote: »I've had some great times but I think Scruffy is moving on. I've hardly been playing since One Tamriel which is painful since I stupidly got enthusiastic at the time thinking I would get my old stygian back and ponied up for a 6 month ESO plus. Oh well.
I made Alliance Rank 36 last month and haven't had the will to come back. I kept hoping that they would make some changes but I knew having seen every update since late beta that what you get the first patch notes is what you are going to get in 4 weeks unless it's some issue that gets a lot of screaming traction on the forums/reddit/youtubers....and those are few and far between. I'll keep an eye out for the next 4 months and see if they try and fix melee magicka nb but I can't play the way it is. It's been tough since TG/DB but now it's simply unplayable and frankly unenjoyable.
At least I'll always have those 1.5 memories.
