After helping the community for months with vMA. I'm hoping to get some assistance myself with something new to be completely.
STAM DK - Skills - I can probably work this one out myself. Focusing on Vet Trials I think most choices are common sense (I do have a solid understanding on DK abilities)
Gear, is another ball game.
I've been told to run Ebon+Alkosh+warlorden or blood spawn monster set.
NOTE: I have ALL sets so it's easy to swap in and out, so feel free to be creative.
Here are my questions:
1. Wouldn't it be better to run Hist Bark + Imperium + war lorden? Damage mitigation is all over this setup without losing any survive.
I understand I will be set to lose 1k HP for my group not running Ebon, I also understand that not running Tava's and alkosh will stop impending horn frequency as well as debuffs going out.
Our trial group is solid, but we do have players coming in and out often, I'm just trying to be a (supportive Tank) while not sacrificing too much for the group.
We have people running alkosh as well as 3 horns + myself currently.
I'll take any advice as constructive, please keep in mind what I'm seeking is max survive while offering something to the group.

This issue with Hist, Imp, and warden. Is that it lacks the group support and you said so yourself you want to be a supportive tank. All tanks off tank and main tank should run Alkosh, and one DPS as well, but mostly the tanks..
Ebon gives you great armor; as it is heavy set.. but also gives your group that extra 1k HP witch trust me will save many lives. Whenever I swap out to my seconday set for Trials like the mage vAA, or the last boss in vDSA ( because you are not in the group in those ones) I notice people have trouble with the 16-17k health.. so boosting them an extra 1k is extremely helpful for the group; Alkosh puts a Debuff and a DoT on the adds/ boss and since the tank is always infront who better to apply that debuff than the tank themselves.
Hist bark; Imp. and warden would be great for the mage fight, and for last boss DSA. when you are not inside the group to provide the buffs; however as a full support tank it's best to run Ebon + Alkosh as main tank, Powerful Assault + Alkosh as off tank..
As for Skills they are the basic.
bar 1
Pearce Armor, Low slash, Igneous Shield, Harden Armor, Absorbed Magicka. warhorn
bar 2.
Inner fire, chains, Talons, Echoing Viggor, elude. warhron/ Magma Shell.
Bar 2 is more of a bar you can mix and swap depending on trial and group.
Bar 1 is main bar and should always have those skills on the bars.
