When will encase get the bombard treatment?

Honestly as a magicka sorcerer main this is the most aids ability ever. I have my ability to move around the battlefield completely shut off by one ability because streak can't go in different directions.
I just dealt with the infamous "dragon disruptor" and being encased in a negate because as soon as my dodge roll ended I was snared once again.

What you call bombard treatment is something close to removing the ability from game. That's how bombard is good now

The issue is negate multiplies active effects on you infinitely. I for the life of me cannot imagine how this even came to be.

They made it so that you can't "perma bombard" a player so that after a bombard said player would be immune from a bombard root from x amount of time.

use la/channel heavy resto/ltgn for half a second -> streak. fixed.
no bombard treatment needed. spammign encase does little (or no, depending on morphs) damage anyway. IF anything, talons would be next (or preferably root mechanics as a whole).
the problem with bombard was that it was an all-in-one ability.

roots still are an aspect of the game that can be annoying and take the fun out of one side in a fight. Maybe it can make use of minor adjustments (maybe make it a 99% slow, like in DAoC and thus make turning while rooted easier). however, none of the current abilities has the same problem bombard had in that it had everything combined in a single ability and was simply better (not even different, just better) than others, in particular encase.

Wrong. What they did, is made bombard not apply its root if the target is already snared. So basically it does only do its root if you gank a solo player, since there are so many snares in the game that as soon as opponents clash openly, both are snared from the getgo.

The turning thing is a real pain.. I seem to be fighting a LOT more DK's spamming Talons again, so noticing it a lot more. Seems it used to be a thing when I started PVP, then died off a lot, now its a thing again. Seems my next build's gotta have something to compensate for it.

    Minalan owes me a beer.

We need Encase to receive the Bombard treatment. We also need a snare/immobilize immunity for 3-6 seconds after it wears off.

Atleast the use of talons force mdk's to play in-range of the opponents, and it is quite easy to get away from. Encase's free range just promotes the use of a zergling standing at range and standing far away.

I disagree. if we only get this, pvp will be even more fecked than before. What we need is a significant reduction of AoE damage, a slight reduction of single target damage OR a significant increase in effective health, a downside to snaring other players (e.g. cast times), viability of DoT damage (i.e. by reducing its damage output but at the same time making it unpurgeable and unstackable - not group of 4 DKs that dot everything to death), a downside to CC (by making the Reactive Armor 5pc an integral part of every single CC in the game and delete that set) while at the same time making it true CC, by reducing the counters to it.

basically, we'd need a revision of the whole pvp system. And that while not touching the precious holy PvE system, which is oh so balanced and fine and will be completely and utterly destroyed by even the sllightest change to mechanics. You know, because you can't adjust the npc mechanics to fit the changed gameplay mechanics. No, that is not possible.
