PC vs Console

Hi all, i got ESO on PC but im close to switch to my PS4 Pro instead.

Is the PC & Console/PS4 version on same Patch?

Or will console be on older versions?
Or is it on same patch?

Like both will get housing in feb.

    DLC and patches always release on PC first. It usually releases 2-3 weeks later on console. Works out well for console because the really big bugs get found by PC and most get fixed before or at the same time as console release.

    I believe there's no addons for Console, like the PC has. These addons are easily downloaded. The best "hack" I've found, was one that shows all farming locations after farming them once, both on map as on-screen and even on compass.

    In other words, farm these nodes once, and that addon will save you 12 skill points on Keen eye passives, are even more usefull than a 3/3 keen eye passive and even save chest locations.

    There are more like these, like that Miat's addon or what's-it-called, countering gankers and making NB's useless (though real NB's know how to counter <3 )

    To OP, if you pvp, you'll forever wonder whether or not the other guy is cheating on pc. Now if you're more of a pve guy and don't care about leaderboards, then pc is a good choice because you have ad ons that make life easier

    Yeah man. Just type up "cheat engine" on the search bar above and you'll see. I'm a pure pvp player myself so I'm really glad to be a console pleb

    Pc: cheaters but better graphics and smoother gameplay

    Console: worse graphics and has crashing issues but no cheaters, I think that's a good trade off plus pc beta tests our patches. Also xbox is home of the most elite skilled player base.

    I've never had a single crash or disconnect on PS4, never seen a bot and never been concerned about cheating. IMHO the graphics are not so different to be hugely noticeable or concerning (sure you can tell the difference if you put a screenshot of each next to each other, but I can get improve my graphics by wearing my glasses when I play, but I don't because I'm not really bothered by it)
    The big thing that console doesn't have, which you may miss, is useful add ons like buff timers, dps calculators etc

    If you like pvp then you might like to know that on console your camera rotation speed is limited, whereas on pc it isn't. This is important if you need to switch target quickly to one behind you. Especially important if you play a mobile class.

    I've never cheated or knowingly exploited and I do well in pvp; I've never suspected an opponent of cheating (apart from during the multiple mundus and overload exploits, which were also on console). Cheat engine is still a thing afaik but the vast majority of players wouldn't be willing to risk their accounts for something so stupid. Most of this thread so far is bordering on hysteria tbh.

    They were fixed but existed at the same time which worsened their impact and contributed to sorc hate. The mundus exploit allowed you to have upto 8 mundus buffs with the cunning use of TBS (not exclusive to sorc), and the overload exploit allowed you to have a toggle such as inner light or bound aegis permanently active without them being slotted on your main bars.

    I swapped from console to pc. It's not as different as most people think. I've been accused of macroing and using hacks myself since swapping, so I think most of that is just excuses. Main differences for me
    Console:
    More social if you like voice chat
    More "noobs" but plenty of skilled players still
    Less mature crowd (mostly)
    Less smooth gameplay
    Economy more expensive (can be good or bad depending)

    Pc:
    More social for text chat
    More skilled players but plenty of "noobs" too
    More mature crowd (mostly)
    More smooth gameplay if u have a good pc
    Economy cheaper
    Add ons

    Overall experience on console is great, so don't be put off.. but pc was better for me overall. Hope this helps.
