I've been theory crafting and thinking about this for the last month. I don't want to waste gold so I havent really finishes any of the builds in game. I've looked throughout the forums and saw some interesting builds but wanted some feedback.
Background: experienced PvPer that took a 4 month break and I want to get back to PvP but as I look at current builds I feel my old build is outdated. I don't gank often and generally like small scale battles where I'm either solo against a few enemies or I'm with 4 or 5 others.
My first idea is 5 spriggan/5 bone pirates tatters/1 kena/1 velidreth (or possibly 2 selenes). Bone pirate 5 pc bonus would always be there. Spriggan only on DW bar.
My plan is to have DW sharpened swords as main bar with entrapping poison on weapons.
Bar would be rearming trap, surprise attack, killers blade, relentless focus, mass hysteria, incapacitating strikes.
I've used relentless focus on main bar with good success in the past timing a burst combo where I fear, ani cancel, IC, ani cancel, assassin's will. I'm careful against more experienced players who break free then roll dodge and wait to cast my assassin's will and it usually lands. Assassin's will is always ready a as well since I LA weave with surprise attack. With rearming trap and entrapping poison I'd like to make my enemy either roll dodge out of the immobilization or stay in it and I can take a step back and heal before going back in. I picture it being very annoying lol.
My back bar plan is a 2H sword with powered trait. Weapon damage glyph. Why powered and a sword? It's mostly a buff bar and since I'm not running something like hundings I want as much heals as possible.
The bar would be rally, shuffle, shadowy disguise, ambush, vigor, flawless dawn breaker.
Rally and vigor are obvious. So is shuffle. I don't have an issue having a gap closer on my back bar, you get used to it. Ambush won't hit as hard as normal because my weapon isn't sharpened so using shadowy disguise to at least make it critical helps. Plus im more concerned with the empower buff i get. On top of that it would proc the weapon damage glyph. The reason I use flawless dawn breaker is to try to squeeze as much extra healing out as possible.
As a bosmer in the past I've had to put a few points into HP to get over 18k in chrome, with bone pirates tatters however I can use food/drink (let's call it a power shake lol) which not only gives me HP but also Stam recovery and magicka recovery and the still works with the 5 pc set bonus from bone pirates.
I figure velidreth and kena so I can have some extra damage against shield users since spriggans 5 pc is useless against shields. I'm still considering 2 pc selene though.
On paper stats are great. Great HP pool. Great stamina pool. Amazing sustain. Very hard hitting build that doesn't depend on proc sets.
If that doesn't work I'm also considering Sanche instead of spriggan.
If that doesn't work I was thinking something completely different and going 5 black rose/5 ravager/ 2 troll king.
I have access to all of this stuff already, I mainly don't want to waste legendary mats so that a why I haven't tested any of it.
What are your guys/gals opinions on my build idea? (I used to play 5 hundings, 5 ravager, 1 kena, 1 blood spawn, worked well but I had to be much more careful with my stamina)
