BwB Stam DK question

I started a Stam DK for bwb at lvl 10 I went nuts made a gold sword and got robust agility rings and neckless. I had insane amount of weapon power like 6k and 36k max Stam was useing 5 hundings and 3 night silence.

I was hitting super hard and feeling really tanky but I lvled out of that gear and was wondering if there is a better set up at lvl 15? Was going to go bow and 2 handed but some people say to use sword and shield to be more tanky. I'm new to bwb and don't mind spending a lot of gold or time to beef up my character as much as possible any advise would be great.

I plan to make gold gear and weapons every 5 lvls does not bug me at all just looking to see if anything is better then hundings and night silence for bwb solo pvp

I recommend holding off on golding anything until you find the gear and set ups that work best for you. This goes for vet or nonvet PvP. You have a very high damage set up, but if you want to 1vX well it tends to help to have a lot more sustain (in no-CP and nonvet). I think what you're doing is a poor use of your money and time - purple functions really, really well in nonvet.

I should say that most new BwB freak out and get excited when they have huge damage stats. Personally, I don't find those as valuable as hitting certain thresholds. For example, if I have at least 3k weapon damage I know my time to kill is sufficiently low that I can push the rest of my resources into sustain. That way I can be fighting a group of people, set up to burst one down, and still have resources to heal back up and prepare for another burst rotation.

High weapon damage builds like yours tend to be the ones I feel are very easy to kill. I just block, CC, and heal for a bit until you're out of resources. Then I basically get to kill you at my leisure. Weapon damage is like any other thing in life: it's not the side of the wave that pushes you over - it's the motion of the ocean.

HR is always a good set to use. Some other suggestions would be Morkuldin, Willow's Path, Clever Alch, Eternal Hunt, even TBS. Setup, that's your call. 2H/Bow will be more fun if you're trying to kite, gank, kill, but Sw/B could be more fun to have all those new players beating on you for awhile.

I think the thing with tanking though is you'll really need your HA and Earthen Heart passives and you'd benefit a lot from CP. I think until you have those skill lines leveled it might be easier to play a DD.

If you want help with builds for nonvet shoot me a message. I run a guild on PC/NA AD that focuses on taking new players and introducing them to high level small group play in BwB. I have quite a few nonvet builds across all classes that I've playtested the hell out of and they fit my style of play. All of them are meant to be solo or small group builds. At some point I should do one of those YouTube build things for all of them.

Once the aprocalypse/EoTS hell is over we will be running vet instead.

Build video would be great for bwb pvp there is a huge lack of knowledge on the subject. I'm finding the pvp very enjoyable much better then the hell vet has become, was shocked at the amount of pros that hang out there. The bwb community has been very helpful in game and willing to help out with my solo build.

Learning to play without cp is taking some time and building for more sustain should help

You forgot to mention that all your toons previously had Emp and they all emp'd on accident with your small 4 man group taking all the keeps.

    Thank me later :)

If you are on PC/NA server you should join 'Pugz of Daggerfall' guild, there are some players that like to share build ideas in guild chat, we also have website that some players post detailed information about builds.

You may also consider Hide of the werewolf. It adds physical resistance, health, stam, and generates ultimate when damaged. I ran this as my second 5 piece set on one of my characters and it worked out pretty good. With Dragon Leap being so cheap it seemed like it was always up during good fights. Just a thought.

    Black Rose.
Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.

Is it possible to farm these sets on a low lvl and not out lvl it as soon as you get the set together? Even opening chest gives u a lot of exp and to get a full drop set seems almost impossible without a lvl or 2 happening. I don't really know never tried it.

Rerolling frequently is one of the realities of playing in BwB (which basically feels like 1.5 gameplay - that's why I like it). We just sort of moan about the XP and move on. Get used to always having a pretty slow horse - I've got 5 characters where I'm just feeding horses right now.

@vamp_emily , not all of my toons have been emp! Just 7 of them. I've only held onto 4 of them. Christmas break I want to try to emp my hybrid WW build and my magplar destro-ult *** build.

Blackrose, you can only get every 5 levels, like 10, 15, 20.. You purchase them with stones in IC. The blue set cost 1000 stones per piece, and the purple 5000 stones per piece. You can easly get 5000 stones ( for 5 pieces of the blue set ) before you level up, and you can either upgrade them to purple or have a crafter do it for you. Or you can also have someone purchase blackrose set for you and then you just pay them in gold.

Honestly, I would not upgrade your armor/weapons to gold unless you plan on staying in BwB, but that is your choice. Also you can look around guild stores to purchase set pieces.

I was going to say the same. There's no need to "waste" gold upgrade mats to be competitive in bwb. It's far more important to upgrade your gear every few levels than to have legendary gear.

What else should I use them for I have a stock pile saved up and gold coin is useless so I'm not going to sell them might as well make low lvl gold gear and have fun

    Alright, knock yourself out then.

You are also likely to find (you may have already) it difficult to go full stam spec as you level. You'll need to level up your class skills to morph to stam, and will need to level all class lines for the passives, meaning much of your bars may need to be mag skills initially.

I've done a few stam chars in bwb, and have always found dk to be the most challenging at low levels, even more so than a baby stam sorc.

Don't gold weapons from the bottom up if you plan on that. Honestly, don't gold until you are sure what you want. Start at level 46, then do 40, 34, 28. That will be the simplest and strongest. Might as well have your nice weapon when you're all set to perform.
