Beginner Gear PvP

I have seen a bunch of stuff that you can buy at the cryodil Merchants. Problem is you have to acquire the stones to buy the stuff. So I need some basic gear to get started so I can eventually upgrade.

Currently I am a NB. Will be using Bow/2H. Running with zerg and/or trying to pick people off solo

I was thinking of

5 pieces of Eternal Hunt ( 2 Heavy and 3 Medium)

5 Pieces of Marksman - 2 Medium + 3 jewelry

Armor = Divine
Will spend the cash to try and find a Gold Bow (sharpened)

Checking some prices on Guild Traders I think I can buy this stuff ...although it will be tight. Saw a Gold Marksman bow for 70k, which is half my cash but cheapest I have seen so far

For pvp, all armor pieces impenetrable unless you want to go for a pure gank build that implodes whenever you don't manage to oneshot your target. At most, two pieces well fitted.

Skip heavy. Go 7 medium.

Add in one piece monster set or maelstrom weapons if you have them.

70k for a gold weapon is dirt cheap as long as it is sharpened. You need at least 8 tempering alloy, which on PC EU is worth 90k to 100k alone.

i had great succes whit 5 eternal, 4 marksman and viledrith monster set

I currently use 5 viper, 3 agi, 3 marksman. Easy gameplay. Decent sustain. Great burst. And it's cheap if you don't use the latest traits for viper and agility set with health on it. But you are really squishy then.

For a beginner I would use 5 marksman, 5 morag tong, 1 of any monster set, poison enchant on bow and spam poison arrow canceled with heavy attacks out of the background. This would be the most easy gameplay with which you can have success with I can immagine if you dont have access to the broken monster sets yet.

i have used 5 hundings, 3 agility, 1 Monster, and either 2 marksmen or 2 lekis.

Currently running 5 marksman and 5 Hawkeyes. However Hawkeyes can be hard to find.

Hundings is a nice set you can use in combo with another 5 pice set or a mix of other set pieces.

I've recently gone back to standard:
5 Hunding's (Impen)
1 Velidreth (Shoulder)
3 Agility Jewellery
3 Night Mother's Gaze (Jack and Sharpened Weapons)

Got rid of Viper and Veli*2 due to the lack of necessary skill.
Obviously your options are better if you max out your crafting.

As a crazy person who runs no impen myself ... run impen as a beginner. Also, as a crazy person myself, even I think running 7 medium is crazy.

If you don't have a way to have both resistances above 25k minimum you're gonna be dead unless you're Houdini. 5/2 or 5/1/1 is pretty common and the 5, at least these days, is about 90% heavy armor.

Just waiting on some marksman rings so I can free up armor spots for something else.

Was waiting on something like Morag Tong, but after checking different GTs, I noticed that Spriggans is quite common. I really like the stats on that. Does anybody use that? I just need something to carry me through to have more options at IC vendor

You can buy morag tong boxes for 50k ap in the town in the north in cyro. DMG increase is overall higher than morag tong which is limited to poison. But if you run a skill which reduces armor and penetration trait on weapon all toons in med and light armor will have 0 armor anyway which is making your 5 piece bonus only useful against heavy armor. Every set has its pros and cons.

In my oppinion viper is BY FAR the best easy to obtain set for 2h/bow nb. Snipe+ambush+incap+viper+weapon enchant+light attack is hitting with 20k+ dmg even in non cp pvp in an instant. If you use a poison enchant on your bow viper even procs on your bow too.
