BC1 event triggers in middle of boss fight

In Banished Cells 1, the 1st optional wraith boss, I ran into the room and to the left while using vigor, breaking line of sight briefly as I healed (was doing a solo run) and next thing you know Cirion comes running in and talking, while the wraith and adds were still up. Seems the game jumped the gun and triggered the event prematurely.
