Okay, so One Tamriel. It's great, isn't it? I can play anything with anyone. Wooooo.
What I'm trying to address here is the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE LAG.
Okay, I'm in Australia. Yes, we have crap internet. I can't access any better internet connection than ADSL 2+ at present, even though I live in a major city.
Yes, there was lag before One Tamriel. But, it's SO MUCH WORSE now, and it seems to be getting worse by the week. Maybe that's to do with how many new players came on board with the free weekend; I don't know.
I have recently stopped trying to do Trials at night (my time) because I just get disconnected constantly... but yesterday I was also disconnected at the most southerly dolmen in Auridon because of the sheer number of people there . I stopped trying to play in Thornblade much longer ago than One Tamriel, because any time anything remotely interesting started to happen, I got disconnected. I get killed on a too-regular basis in group dungeons by lag now.
@zos_mattfiror Please can you do something about this. I'm not going to go on about how entitled I feel because blah blah blah. I love this game but the issue is I'm starting to wonder how much longer I will bother when this is all that keeps happening. We were promised that the instancing in One Tamriel wouldn't increase the lag (Matt Firor's own words, in an interview, paraphrased), but it seems to me that there are too many players per instance if it keeps getting worse. I realise that my own network congestion does affect my gameplay, but if friends based in the UK and EU have the same issue with noticeably worse lag - and they're on far better internet than I am - then Houston, we have a problem.
Please, @ZOS_GinaBruno can you pass this on...
