Stam Sorc skill sets for PVP

So Im running hurricane critsurge and vigor followed by 2 attacks on each bar i need help with weaving or canceling or what skills to use to better my bars i have the options of DW SB 2H and bow as well either 5 pc automaton 5 piece viper and 2 veli ..... 5pc BR 5Pc viper n tremor scale hundings 5 pc 5pc sword dancer i have alot to play with in regards to sets but the skills is hard with what stays when u use it on your front then switching to your back

A typical stamsorc will run 2h+bow or 1h/shield+bow in PVP. DW is great also, but comes with no gap closer - though a Sorc's mobility make sit doable for sure.

DW is only useful for vmsa. Pretty meh for PvP where burst is king.

honestly, other than hurricane - i can't think of any other sorc skills which are stamina based...

basically you have to use your weapon abilities...

hopefully you haven't gimped yourself to badly on magicka - cuz, dawn's wrath (execute) and crystal frags (knockdown) are still useful...

i have tons of skill points and havent touched any magika abilites except a a couple as im not sure what kinda setup to use either with a sorc skills or certain classes for pvp or even combos that work good

for up close sorc fighting (something that works well with hurricane) encase and crystal blast/frag...

for building long distance relationships (about 80% of pvp) - dawn's wrath is definitely a winner...

Most stamsorcs run these sorc skills at least: Hurricane, Bound Armanments, Crit Surge, Dark Deal. You'll use weapon abilities for your DPS. I've seen at least half a dozen different skill loadouts from different builds/videos/etc. There's a lot of choice when it comes to stamsorc builds. You'll do best to find what works for you.

@jroc699_burr ...I'm no max anything type player - and, you build is going to depend heavily on your playstyle...in terms of risk/reward - what are you comfortable with...

myself, I weave my light bow attacks with lethal or poison arrow...for my staff guys I use my heavy lightening attacks in between my long range (plus 28 meter) abilities...

just re-read your post - your gear is sweet, no problems there...I set my two bars up so that one is for distance fighting and one is for melee fighting, but, that's just me - it makes sense in my head that way...

on all my characters I use either a bow or lightening staff, plus - some melee weapon on the other bar...

because you have really good gear - i would suggest going with either DW or SnB on one of your bars (to maximize your set bonuses), because you're stamina based - I'd go with a bow on the other bar...

very few fights are 1v1 in cyro, more like 10 to 20 against another 10 to 20, personally, I wouldn't worry so much with being able to smack folks around...

i have SnB on 3 different characters, mostly for the increased protection, but, it also adds an extra armor bonus slot...only 2 use any SnB abilities...for them I use pierce armor; and, i use it primarily for the debuff...

i have DW on two characters, only one uses a DW ability at the moment, for awhile I did use steel tornado on my mDK - cuz it looked cool, but it made no sense, his stamina is too precious to use on it...for my other character, i use flying blade from DW primarily as a buff - plus it has a nice little range...and, again the whole extra gear slot is useful...

just so you understand, in pve land - i love using my melee weapons and getting all up close and personal...IC I usually don't have a choice - but, except for maybe a few of my characters I much prefer to stay alive a little longer and keep a few allies in between myself and the enemy...

bows and staves are a good way to do that - just because ya didn't ask for it

for a bow, I don't really know which is "better", lethal arrow or focused aim...they both can be a pain to deal with, poisoned arrow is a sweet ability also...

I use lightening staffs - they basically have auto aim, great heavy attacks, go through any structure created by an environment artist, and hit lightening fast

you can get creative with the glyph...

I don't use any staff abilities...I used destructive clench for awhile, but, because I use lightening instead of fire staves - it doesn't knock anyone down (enemy players that is, it knocks down npc's all day)...plus the range was too short...

I am running that sweet zone of death destro ultimate on 2 of my characters - they gotta tone down those crazy numbers - or at least make sure we can see them when they go off...serious run away moment when those start popping out...

once my mDK hits level 50 on the destruction staff skill line - i'll have to trade in my trusty lightening staff for that hit or miss fire staff and let all my pvp buddies bath in the goodness which is the eye of flame ...

As a 1h/shield + bow sorc, I would have the bow be my "buff bar" and only run poison injection on that bar to keep the executing dot up for pressure and finishing power. Put your surge, hurricane, dark deal, and bound armaments on this bar. Alternately move hurricane to your 1h/shield bar and put Streak on the bow bar for your escapes if you are 1vXing.

1h/shield bar I would use invasion and pierce armor at the least along with bound armaments. Reverberating Bash and Defensive stance are situationally very useful. Pierce Armor with tremorscale will snare people by 70%, so I wouldn't worry as much about heroic slash although it's a great ability but you have limited space on your hotbar.

my tremor scale is 5 BR 5 viper and TS but my sheild is prosperous and my stats using this set up are liek wpn dmg 2k on my bow its like 1800 lol i am tanky tho and my proc does ok dmg and kill ppl but i wanna smash people soo im not sure why i cant get that weapon dmg up high at all

I don't know why people are talking about staves or magicka-based damage abilities on a stam sorc...

All stam classes follow similar builds:
2H dps bar: stampede, reverse slice, dizzying swing, rally, [class skill], dawnbreaker

1HS dps: ransack/heroic slash, [class skill], reverb, invasion, [class skill], dawnbreaker

Bow or 2H buff bar: rally/poison injection, shuffle, [class buff], vigor, [class buff], WW/class ult

As a stam sorc, your class skills will be hurricane, dark deal, streak, crit surge, bound armor, and maybe encase if you want to get exotic. Back bar ultimate options include negate, or overload for a third buff bar.

I would not recommend DW on a stam sorc as you don't have a class spammable and bloodthirst is only good against noobs.

Mix and match as you choose until you find something that feels right.

DW is only so i can get that extra dmg or to proc a 5 pc like 5pc alchemist and 5 pc senche so when i leave the dw itll still be proced

Sometimes perfect is the enemy of good enough. I think you might be trying to squeeze too much out of your build. If your struggling, adding a complex rotation or bar swap for a few hundred more weapon damage isn't going to help. I recommend sticking with a simple agility+5pc black rose/spriggan, monster set setup. This will give you the simplest, most well rounded build until you learn the class and what to do in various situations.

I'm running a five-piece Viper with five-piece Spriggans and a monster helm. My wood elf hits hard, especially from sneak,. I have a bow on both bars. Crit Surge, Bound Armaments, Hurricane, Poison Inject, Lethal Arrow, Endless Hail, Vigor.

Currently using the bow ultimate, Toxic Barrage, but it's too easy to be interrupted. In PvP, I get off about 50% of my shots. It's higher in PvE. I'll be looking for a new ultimate for my front bar.

Back bar is currently War Horn, though once that's maxed out, I'll pick up Negate or Barrier, then swap as needed.
