I think you have a good point. I also find it pretty unfair that people can put in a lot of time testing and min/maxing a build, attaining BiS gear for it, that they then play to its strengths and beat other players in PVP who don't have time for all that. This game is going to die if casual players can't easily farm those who put in the extra effort. L2P is very offensive and demoralizing to players who shouldn't be forced into doing things in order to enjoy the game. Insult to injury is that you have to play with two hands and pay attention while <insert mainstream tv show> is on.
Let's talk about gold upgrade materials. You can buy them from people who farm for it with your gold you farmed for. This needs to be reworked, it needs to be bind on pickup for materials and ingredients. Everything else is pay to win.

These people that have this title are too overpowered at this game and I can't compete with their level of skill. I beat dark souls 2 and platinumed the game. Then I played dark souls 3 and quit after the first boss because of how pointless it felt trying to git guud at the game. That game died out a long time ago so I will never beat the game. Now in this game I see these 1vxers and god moded duelers that you cannot kill even though you try to kill them with proc sets (I don't use proc sets).
We need to make it to where immediately after they get the title we nerf the amount of damage and healing can do on all of their characters and make it harder for them to survive if we cannot compete with their level of skill.

However, content at that level does require more time commitment to learn and beat the mechanics, plus avoid RNG deaths. zos has done a lot to cater to casual players, including One Tamriel. Most of the game is too easy. It's great that there is still some content that requires effort to push through. The Flawless Conqueror title would be worthless if it didn't require any effort. I know a lot of players with the title, but they had to put in effort to get it. I haven't tackled VMA yet because I spend too much time in game chasing other achievements. But I know that it is something I can do, with time and effort, because others have paved the way. I hope zos never goes so far in caving to casuals as to make all content easy for them, especially knowing those with the title EARNED it.
BTW, your math is off on research times. I completed my last ninth trait before the end of my 13th month, and only the last month benefited from ESO+ , since it didn't exist before then. There are valid game complaints, like PVP lagfest, but if working game mechanics are too much trouble, play a different game.

13th month? So it is for certain that it takes a lot longer than 6 months? Why the hell did I see people saying they can craft 9 trait sets during the thieves guild update in guild roster writings on consoles? This utterly annoys me how people think they can get away with spreading lies like this.

I also find it pretty unfair that these scientists and engineers make super OP builds and beat other players in PVP who don't have time for all that. This game is going to die if casual players can't be on the same playing field as those who put in the extra effort. L2P is very offensive and demoralizing to players who shouldn't be forced into doing things in order to enjoy the game. Insult to injury is that animation cancelling macro users can kill you too fast while trying to do other stuff like watch TV.
Ourorboros wrote: »Research can be completed faster than 13 months if it is spread across multiple characters and/or accounts. So the referenced claims could be valid. But to research all traits on one character takes just over a year. Any time less than that just means the research is spread across alts, which is valid. It used to be common, but the addition of motif chapters and some very rare motifs made this less practical if the crafter was also trying to keep up learning motifs as well as traits.
