Actually if you look above I said one of the main issues was performance. Not gonna lie, I'm a little hurt.

Well, then you're obviously one of those who seem to notice a general lack of about 40 fps and a ping of >300ms on their screen, so don't be hurt.

It's hard to be upset about anything else when you can't even play in Cyrodiil by the time you get home from work. I end up farming dungeons or something because I can't even bar swap in PVP. How people cope is beyond me.

Agree with most above, PROC SETS ! duh

Used to PVP every day, loved it.always had 3 characters in the top 100 ranks, Since One Tam not been in Cyrodiil at all once on any character. which means less time in the game and to be honest lost a lot of interest in the game due to issues like this being ignored.

Its been well known and agreed by ZoS viper been broken since introduction, but now there are even more proc sets with issues, they are 'suposed' to have internal cooldowns and ZoS have confirmed this, but they are not working, most proc multiple times in a row and stacking with other procs its seriously broken.

Most have been like this for ages now and nothing has been done, i'm sorry but thats just unacceptable and is ruining or has already ruined the game for many players.

Just makes me wonder if who designed half of these sets even knows anything all about real mmo game play and PVP, being able to stack 2 or even 3 proc sets is just down right stupid and the resulting impact is quite obvious by just looking at them, they should all at least be linked to a global cooldown which in PVP should be longer than in PVE, there is no way you can possibly even think about balancing classes when there is gear sets around like these, sorry its a joke.

Then there is the lag/server issues/long load screens, server kicks, memory leaks..........................................LOL that's just another long ongoing issue that has 'suposed' to have been addressed, improved multiple times in patch notes, but most of the time has got far worse.

Besides bar swapping issues, did ZOS ever fix gap-closers in PvP? Or is gap-closing into a load screen still a thing? Or gap-closing into the "shadow realm"?

    I think it really depends.

If you are the type of person that likes to cry about everything then PvP is more than likely the worst thing you can do in this game. It will make you quit.

PvP is one of the funnest things to do in this game, but if you play it too often it does turn you into a mean person. I've said some really bad things to people in PvP, but it is kind of fun trash talking.

its a shame that pvp is so broken right now- because it should be the crown jewel of the game. The pvp aspect is probably the element that has the most potential to take this game to the next level- the game becoming an e-sport ( though i know many would detest the notion- i do think it has potential to become that). .. but that s another thing entirely - and there of course the questers and the pve undaunteds. theres something for everyone i think. but i do wish they'd spend more love on pvp- its what draws alot of people to the game. I remember the first siege i ran into- 20 trebs being set up- the music breaking- and feeling like this was freaking awesome - felt like i was really there! I still do love it- but there needs to be more balance towards skill over sets. right now?
imagine being a new game running around tamriel- having a great time in cyrodil with your brand new armour then BAM - grey screen, death recap - viper sting - surprise attack - red mountain - velidreth. then a 10 minute load screen back to home keep.

    yeah it needs love.

PvP is a silly place. If you keep yourself from getting too involved in it, you can have fun, but the issue is it has such potential to be fun.

You know how you can fix pvp? Remove the p.

People are going to use absolutely any cheap trick, tactic and flat out broken things to be able to beat you, for whatever reason.

It's why pve is better imo, you don't have cheating/exploiting raid bosses.

Beyond the actual problems with technical issues, even when they are fixed, you got the try-hards, the full-on proctatos and the ones who just want to watch the world burn.

But hey, try it out you may love it.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

First please don't let several of the posts from jaded players on the forum make up your mind for you.
It is true that there is a lot of lag at times and some players exploit and take advantage of everything they can to be overpowered.

That being said if you find a good PvP guild there is a lot of fun to be had in Cyrodiil.
I enjoy taking keeps and battling with my guildies immensely.
When it is working right it is some of the best PvP I have played on both PS4 and my PC.
You are going to get killed a lot that is why some can't handle it, but if you stop and remember there is no real penalty for being killed other than travel and maybe a bruised ego then it all comes together.

Try it out you may get addicted like I did. lol

Pvp is super fun but as a mage blade not a chance. Magic is just not as competitive as stam. A magic Templar can get tanky with sword and board and heavy armor but it still won't put out a lot of damage.

Yes, we do. The performance issues bug me the most though. If you're a PVEr, imagine trying to run dungeons with 400-999 ping every day while ZOS did absolutely nothing about it. They keep telling you they are working on fixing the issue, but it never happens. Imagine feeling like they've completely abandoned PVE and every bit of new content went into Cyrodiil.
I understand a larger portion of the player base is PVE related, but I'm just trying to give some perspective so you can see why PVPers complain so much. We complain because we enjoy the PVP in this game, but for the most part, it's unplayable.

I find a poplocked severs have less lag then Vso or Vhr a lot of the time. And when my internet is dragging I just hop into the slightly less populated campaign.

300% better then azuras star was last year, where 2fps rubberbanding was the norm.

pvp is fun if you want it to be fun. but it will also be a big drain on your resources when you first start out.

healer: you need spc 5p set, transmutation 5p set, sanctuary is another good set to have, worm cult is good if you a large group with a cleanse spammer. 1 of each of these sets should be used for every 12 players in group.

stam dps: night mothers crafted set (at least 1 stam dps or tank should have this) sunderflame good to have for tanky players. then want either twice fanged (d/w) and/or spriggan (any stam build) for penetration. this will eliminate most to all phys resist.

mage dps: vicious death. cannot think offhand of any other crucial sets for mage. though if you playing a mage blade siphon you can be one of the transmutation, sanctuary, or spc wearers.

tank: fasallas, durok's are some really good ones. dont necessary have to have both, but having both in group increases chance of debuffing enemy attacers healing.

use these sets and join a group, have some fun.

If you like a real challenge and fast-paced gameplay and don't get butthurt every time you die, then yes it's a TON of fun. :)
