Which maelstrom weapon to use?

So I've farmed vma the past week or so, and the only decent 2 handers I've got aren't sharpened. So which would be best to use on my stamplar.

Defending 2h axe, precise great sword, or precise maul?

I would go with maul because of the 20% armor penetration.

You could use the precise greatsword as a buffbar at best. Sharpened or bust if you want to hit people with it.

I can't stand pve, let alone farming it for days praying the right trait drops.
