Magicka Sorc PvP and PvE build - One Tamriel. My first character and what ive decided on.

oTheTownDrunk
So after reading a million things and realizing its all about what works for me what ive come up with that is a good build for a self supporting, sustain, solo player is as follows. Biggest thing about this setup is it doesn't change much from my PvP setup to my PvE.

Tell me your thoughts and what you would change for ***** and giggles.

PvP Setup

Destro Bar
Crystal Frag, Mages Wrath, Velocious Curse, Force Pulse (Destructive Clench some times), Inner Mage Light | Destro Ult - Elemental Rage

Resto Bar
Healing Ward, Hardened Ward, Deadric Mines, Boundless Storm, Streak | SM Ult - Soul Strike (Overpowered if used correctly)

PvE Setup

Destro Bar 1
Crystal Frag, Mages Wrath, Velocious Curse, Force Pulse, Inner Mage Light | Destro Ult - Elemental Rage (Same as my PvP setup so I get really familiar with it.)

Destro Bar 2
Dark Conversion, Hardened Ward, Liquid Lightning, Unstable Wall of Elements, Power Surge | Storm Calling Ult - Power Overlord

Overlord Bar
Hardened Ward, Structured Entropy, Bound Aegis, Inner Mage Light, Streak

Suit im wearing right now im sick of switching around so I keep it pretty much the same as well for both setups minus the head and shoulders.

5 Piece Kragernac - Infused Chest and Legs, Inpen Gloves, Arms, and Boots
3 Piece Lich - Divine Helmet, and Shoulders, Sharpened staffs with Spell Damage on Destros and Mag Recov on Heal bar. (May start using Moleg Kena Shoulders but Recov drops to 1250 like that)
3 Piece Will Power - Arcane with Spell damage on 2 and recovery one one.

I swap out Helm and Shoulders for ILambris Monster Set for PvE

Champion points im still screwing with as im only 236 right now.

I have a full 5 piece Julianos suit I can swap in for PvE if im not to lazy ;-).

My first thought was that Bound Aegis will only be active on your overload bar, and I'm not sure I see the point of that.

Apart from simply offering a completely different build, I'd say maybe look into Infernal Guardian. It's a pretty powerful monster set for pvp mag sorcs, and likely more valuable than 3 lich.

For the extra damage when im using my Ultimate. I cant fathom keeping it on all bars I see to many other useful spells.

Thanks I have the set but not in the type armor I need it to be in, maybe ill farm it today.

I actually since have updated my PvP bar with much success, slight changes only.

    PvP Setup

    Destro Bar
Crystal Frag, Endless Fury, Velocious Curse, Force Pulse (Destructive Clench some times), Inner Mage Light | Destro Ult - Eye of the storm

    Resto Bar
Healing Ward, Hardened Ward, Deadric Mines, Power Surge, Streak | SM Ult - Soul Strike (Overpowered if used correctly)

Fair enough, but with no damage skills on your overload bar I assume you're planning to rely on Overload light attacks? Don't get me wrong, they'll hit hard...when they hit. You'll have to be facing an opponent who's charging face first into them without dodging or someone who doesn't know you're there before it's too late.

Overload light attacks miss a lot. I'm not personally a fan of Healing Ward because it never seems to target me when I need it in open world fights. Options are limited for Sorc heals, so I get it.

What do your numbers look like with this setup unbuffed and then buffed in pvp?
And is this for PvE or PvP? One shield imo is not enough for me to survive the damage that is dealt in PvP.

Oh sorry the overlord bar is only for PvE.

Oh right, I missed that separation in the description.

I get pretty damn good numbers out of the setup I have now, I am how ever gonna farm the infernal guardian as the extra damage will be better than the 129 recovery ill be losing.

i didnt read the comments, sorry, but what potions are you using? sorcery? you dont have access to major sorcery which hurts. I know entrophy is on your OL bar, but that's IMO slow access. your build in pvp is not to primarily stay on your OL bar..i can tell...so that means you need to open up with entropy and have to constantly switch. the animation is 2 slow for my liking,

I was using spell power potions now that I've switched up my skills to a few posts ahead I'm using immovability potions that restore health and magic also.
