Http request failed

Haven't played the game for a while, but wanted to get back in, so of course I have to update the game. Just one problem. The launcher gives me a "Http request failed" error message, so it is impossible for me to do anything. Any solutions?

Have you tried redownloading the installer from your account page? Reinstalling the game is usually a good bet to fixing this type of problem when your game files are very out of date. The installer is about 140Mb, but then it is a 40+ Gb download from the installer.

Slammer's suggestion is a good one. Reinstalling the launcher doesn't require reinstalling the entirety of the game. If it is an issue with the launcher itself, you can just delete the "Launcher" folder and reinstall the latest version of the launcher to the same location.

ive had a go had all the above, but it still won't install your game CoriJ, the game just stops with the HTTP Request Failed message and freezes and just doesn't install any of the game at all. I've downloaded from account pages, deleted folders, deleted add ons, deleted and disabled firewalls and internet security too and all that, and still the install won't install the elder scrolls online game at all.
