Not going to try and recommend any sets. I wonder why you are bothering trying to play a DK these days?
PVP is all about the AP (the only measure of success in ZoS' PROX v PROX ) and DKs are number 4 on the AP generation scale .
Top is Sorc followed by Templar then NB and way behind is the 'boring old' DK.
In the hands of a competent player;
a Sorc will generate on average at least 80% more AP than a DK,
a Temp 58%,
a NB 37%,
A quick look at the class leader board will easily confirm these figures as being reasonably accurate.
DK stand for DummKopf
Thanks ZoS for stuffing up my main PVP character...

DKs are fun though...he did asked for suggestion on DKs not which other classes are better
It depends honestly, I have this build in mind, that is quite based on Stamina, really heavily focused on stamina
5 Black Rose
5 Draugr Hulk (Sword and Board)
Tremorscale Monster Set
And a random 2h with precise
Together with the tower, I can get around 40k of stamina which gives me a huge pool of resources.
You can also try a burst build which is quite hard to play, I detail it as high risk but high reward.
5 Alchemist
Kena and Bloodspawn (1 piece each)
3 agility
Maelstorm bow
Maelstorm 2H mace
Hope this helps for now?
Thanks for the info guys
And I don't play to gain AP, I play for fun. With my stam DK I'm wanting to show running a stam build that isn't meta or cancer is still viable
Don't use the tower mundus just b/c you're stacking stam - it's just not a good ROI. Warrior will always give more damage. Not going to try and recommend any sets. I wonder why you are bothering trying to play a DK these days?

Tower mundus is just a additive amount right? So someone with 20k stam and 40k would get the same amount from it, right? I could see the logic in that then.

The only problem with Trainee + Draugr Hulk is that you'll end up with 5 medium. Why you ask? Trainee, outside of a very specific few pieces that are attained as quest rewards, always comes with Training trait. This means your main options for trainee with non training traits are: Jewelery (3x can come in all 3 types), Gallant Chain of the Trainee (Heavy Reinforced Chest), Jakarn's Machete of the Trainee (Sharpened 1h sword), Seyne's Bootknife of the Trainee (Sharpened 1h dagger), General Vette's Greatsword of the Trainee (Defending 2h sword), Darj's Shield of the Trainee (Impenetrable), Broadhead Shield of the Trainee (Reinforced), and Targoth's Shield of the Trainee (Reinforced). Once you pick from those, your Draugr Hulk is going to end up 4x armor + 1 weapon or 5x armor.
I love the trainee set and use it in a few builds. I'm planning to use Black Rose + Trainee on my stam DK.

Medium is ok on a stam DK, they have the hardened/volatile armor ability that gives 5.2k phys/spell resist so you can easily get heavy armor resistances in a set of 5 medium 2 heavy. This gives you all the benefit of medium armor passives for damage and sustain while still making you tanky.
Also, for the trainee set you kinda wanna run 3 jewelry and 2 armor pieces because of the resource dip if you use weapons instead and use bar swap (which is a pain in the ass). This means running 1 heavy reinforced/sturdy chest (from quest rewards) and a training legs - then 5 medium from other sets.

What do you guys think of stacking resources with something like Trainee + Draugr Hulk?Don't use the tower mundus just b/c you're stacking stam - it's just not a good ROI. Warrior will always give more damage. Not going to try and recommend any sets. I wonder why you are bothering trying to play a DK these days?
PVP is all about the AP (the only measure of success in ZoS' PROX v PROX ) and DKs are number 4 on the AP generation scale .
Top is Sorc followed by Templar then NB and way behind is the 'boring old' DK.
In the hands of a competent player;
a Sorc will generate on average at least 80% more AP than a DK,
a Temp 58%,
a NB 37%,
A quick look at the class leader board will easily confirm these figures as being reasonably accurate.
DK stand for DummKopf
Thanks ZoS for stuffing up my main PVP character...
DKs are fun though...he did asked for suggestion on DKs not which other classes are better
It depends honestly, I have this build in mind, that is quite based on Stamina, really heavily focused on stamina
5 Black Rose
5 Draugr Hulk (Sword and Board)
Tremorscale Monster Set
And a random 2h with precise
Together with the tower, I can get around 40k of stamina which gives me a huge pool of resources.
You can also try a burst build which is quite hard to play, I detail it as high risk but high reward.
5 Alchemist
Kena and Bloodspawn (1 piece each)
3 agility
Maelstorm bow
Maelstorm 2H mace
Hope this helps for now?

Why would you want to use 2x Trainee armor pieces ever? Did you not read the post you replied to? The armor pieces are ALWAYS Training trait other than the 1H Sword and Shield. (And jewelry)
I read more than just forum posts, certain trainee gear drops in other traits if you get them from starter island quest lines.
Do you have anything to add to this list? Because other than a reinforced or well fitted chest... I haven't found it.
