Why is this a thing zenimax? seriously....major defile doesnt even effect them.....Why are STAMINA based characters able to do that much healing with magicka spells....

It's because Templars have an OP passive called Major Mending. That's why.

I see a stamplar with an 8% damage bonus to Viper (yes minor berserk increases the damage of proc sets) and jabs.
Funnily enough I was literally just looking at Combat Prayer and wondering if it's worth using xD

Are they running pelinal's or something? Maybe this is a thing on PC but I haven't ran into it on console yet.

Did you really mean to say a Stamplar??? Or was this person more of a tank? Big difference in build philosophies there.

It's so OP we need to remove it from the class based around healing. Nevermind DKs and the restoration staff passive with major Mending (making it available to all classes), this is now a nerf stamina, nerf magicka templar thread.

Stamplars have nothing special to them at all.
Just a good Magicka dump and MM. No class ultimates and their CC pushes their target away from them, it's less of an offensive skill and more of a defensive skill

ritual is amazing though. major mending is a nice little added effect but really not what it's about. especially those in heavy black rose have tons of magicka for ritual and this lets you combat dots very well and even makes resource poisons a non-factor. fighting vs meridia set is still annoying but even that is possible with enough cheap purges.

atm, i wouldn't trade my stamplar for any other stam class. sure stuff like incap, hurricane and even dark deal make other classes "superior" in the sense that you can be very effective with straighforward playstyles. but only with access to purge, my class feels "complete"

on topic: lol, who would use that? vigor is sooo much more HP per cast and so is rally. insta heals are absolutely not necessary. if you know what you're doing, you just want to best heal per action that nothing beats the stam heals on that front (on whichever stam class, tbh)

Vulnerability poisons would do the same thing without gimping your build.

Yup, and in siege battles it's worth using on your team. It would seem to buff siege as well.

The resto staff passive, while you do the heavy attack to gain 2 (?) seconds of major mending, you get viper/veli/tremor/widow/redmountain procced and get no healing.

I hear a problem with procs, not stamina. 4 sec GCD on procs and boom, fixed.

High spell damage (via dw and possible pelinals) and honor the dead to keep the cost down. It's not spamable, but makes a nice emergency heal

theres also potions which increase healing by 30%...i think it's the vitality buff? it stacks with all the rest. you don't need high spell power to heal...i heal PVP smallman teams on a templar with 1300 on a sword and shield, it all about those buffs. now i do have 33k mag in that case...but still BOL stacks VERY well with increased healing buffs

Didn't say anything about stamina. Stamina in medium armor without these proc sets is fine. Heavy armor builds + proc sets, or medium armor builds with stacked proc sets = riperoni. xD

Was commenting the resto passive where you gain major mending for 2 sec, you usually end up dead unless you do it from the back of a zerg/group.
