Pvp healing set up help

Hey, just leveled an argonian vampire magicka dk healer for pvp. My goal is to do support and healing only, not dps.

Sets: transmutation 5 piece for group support and amber plasm for regen and the very important stamina regen.

Also, never healed with a dk, so I'm wondering which class specific skills and passives are great for support in pvp.

I'll be using tristat food.

Precise or powered?
Any advice would be great, thanks.

Funny, I was just thinking this morning about making a DK healer too since DKs are a strong support class with lots of soft and hard CCs.
I haven't worked it out yet, so I'll be looking for ideas here as well, but I think some useful options are:
    All the resto staff skills...
Igneous Shields, obviously for Major Mending and group shields.
Draw Essence for when you're mobbed, get back health and magicka.
    Dragon Fire Scale
Talons. I haven't decided on a morph yet. I hate that Choking Talons is physical damage but I'd like the Minor Maim

Right now I'm considering a 7 light, high crit...stacking Dampen Magic and Igneous, and probably Healing Ward for shields
Considering 5 Julianos, 5 Light Speaker, and 1 monster piece with either Healing Done 2%, Max Mag, or Mag Regen

Helping Hands passive will return 5% max stam everytime I use Igneous Shield, and I'll be using that a lot so I think stam regen will be fine without gearing for it. But until I try it, I'm not sure.

Still in the early stages but I think a mDK could make a good crit healer with really nice group utility

Not a DK healer but I'll add what I can:
    - precise is a great stat to adding dps/healing. Since you say you want to do support/healing, powered might be a better trait. Youll need to figure out which is better for your build.
    - you probably need to run talons (to help snare groups)
    - cauterize sounds clutch. "Activate an aura of flames launches a fireball at an ally to heal their wounds every 5 seconds, healing them for [x] Health.
While slotted, you gain Major Prophecy, increasing your Spell Critical by 2191.
Fireball heals allies instead of damaging enemies." Idk if it's only one or hits more than one. But regardless, the extra spell crit chance is perfect to slot it.
-draw essence could be a good skill for zerg/zerg play. It returns 10% of the cost per enemy hit helping you you regen.
-magma shield, despite being high cost, gives your teammates a dmg shield "Ignite the molten lava in your veins, limiting incoming damage to 3% of your Max Health and deal [x] Flame Damage to nearby enemies each second for 9 seconds.
When activated, nearby allies gain a damage shield for 100% of their Max Health for 9 seconds.
When activated nearby allies gain a powerful damage shield."

-igneous shields gives you major mending and adds a dmg shield to allies. "Call the earth to your defense, granting a damage shield for you and nearby allies that absorbs [x] damage. Your own damage shield absorbs 100% additional damage.
You also gain Major Mending, increasing your healing done by 25% for 6 seconds.
You also gain Major Mending, increaseing your healing done."

-igneous weapons! "Charge you and your allies' weapons with volcanic power to gain Major Sorcery and Major Brutality, increasing your Spell Damage and Weapon Damage by 20% for 30 seconds.
You and your allies also gain Major Brutality, increasing your Weapon Damage."

You will need to use a resto staff on at least one bar.
Though I'd probably ask other DK's in game how they heal and adjust the strategy for pvp.

I was planning on running snb / resto.

Snb bar:. Magma shell or snb ultimate
    1. Choking talons- maim is op in this meta
    2. Chains- help pick off priorities by bringing to group. Can't believe more people don't do this.
    3. Green dragons blood - off heal bar self sustain, stamina regen when coupled with Amber plasm is 1.1k.. running tri stat i doing need to worry about cc breaks ever.
    4. Molten weapons-. Help with damage if needed. Might take the other.
    5. Flex- thinking fire rune or caltrops. Maybe purge.

Resto bar:. Resto ultimate or meteor
    1. Mage light- major prophecy and max magicka plus passives and empower.
    2. Illustrious healing. Stronger stack. I won't be having regen issues at max cp and 2.2k magicka regen with pots.
    3. Igneous shield - major mending plus Shields for everyone.
    4. Dampen magic - help when im the focus, breaches.
    5. Flex - most likely mutagen. Maybe combat prayer.

Once i get the jewellery, 1h or shield of Amber plasm I'll switch to 4 impen on small pieces, 3 infused on body armor. So it'll look like this:

    Jewellery:. 3x amber plasm
    Resto: transmutation
    Snb: 1 transmutation + whatever
    Head: amber- infused
    Shoulders: kena heavy impen
    Chest- trans infused
    Gloves- amber impen
    Legs- trans infused
    Belt - trans impen
    Boots - trans impen

Right now I'm not optimized with what set item is at which spot so my crit resistance isn't good bc 3 amber is on my body and the traits aren't correct at all. But buffed I'm at 2.8k spell power, 42% crit on resto bar. 1.1k stamina regen, 2.2k magicka regen. 23k physical and 17k spell resistance. Max magicka is at 29k. Low, but in argonian, haven't done mages guild leveling or undaunted. So that should increase a lot once i get mage light and passives from both guilds. Since I'm support and healer with only 1 attack that deals damage lol i don't need nearly as much magicka. Heals should break about even with powered staff and argonian passives I'm thinking.

Crit will increase bc leveling i thought I'd wear a heavy armor set but changed my mind. So my light armor is only at 19. My recovery will as well.

    Thoughts? I'm all ears.

Just curious, since when is it possible to get heavy parts of transmutation?

Btw. what kind of groups do you want to heal? Snb on a healer looks like small scale, but your skill bars look more like healing full raids.

As a non-Templar PvP healer you'll really need a burst heal on your bar. Either Ward Ally or Healing Ward is nearly a must have. Mutagen and Illustrious (would recommend Healing Springs instead) wont help defend those in group that are squishy and get focused.

DK healers aren't terrible due to their tankiness even in light armor. It's just a play style that's a bit different than your normal healer. Very similar to Sorc healers in PvP, minus the awesome negates.

I don't do small scale, I'm talking full 24 man groups. Healing 1 person with ward ally is not good. Great for small scale though you're right. Once again I'm not the only healer, we're running two. Hes a Templar so he takes care of bol when needed. I do see your point though. What do you think i should give on my bars for ward?

This isn't a random group so no one is in 0 impen. We all have at least 3 with crit cp. With my transmutation everyone should be at 2k crit resistance which is great imo. Also, if someone is out of position and can't survive for 3 seconds while the healers notice and get to helping they need practice. Healers can't out heal stupid #amirighttho??!

I'm going crowd control, debuff, crit resistance buffing with illustrious, and priority targeting with chains. When i stack illustrious I'm healing about 10k per second in pvp which is much better than ward.

My usual group already has a couple of consistent Templar healers (they don't play other toons often) so I'm looking at this DK healer as a supplementary healer rather than a primary. DKs bring what Templars don't, namely another group soft CC, group shields, and Minor Brutality (still the only source of this buff I think).
I'm planning on a dedicated full crit healing build for the DK, no damage aside from resto heavies.
Right now I'm looking at resto on both bars, 5 Julianos, 5 Light Speaker and probably 1 monster piece (max mag, mag recov, or healing done).

Doing no damage frees up CP allocation to where I won't need an investment in Elemental Expert and I can stack Blessed and Elfborn in the blue tree.
Right now I'm planning on maxing Bastion as well and stacking Igneous, Dampen Magicka and Healing Ward (when I need it)
There's going to be some tuning needed when I actually build the thing, on CP and jewelry enchants, but I think a DK can be most effective as a healer if you don't split focus and try to also do some damage.

Yea, my main reasoning for amber plasm is the stamina regen with green dragons blood will make me a tough kill. My weakness as magicka classes send to be that 3rd cc. Normally lethal. This spec I'll have twice my normal stamina regen. And I'll be able to run tristat instead of frothgar. So no stamina issues any more. Plus it's a dk and I've heard the passives help a ton for that.

If the other healer is running trans, which he may change back to as right now he's running the worm set (i told him he should stay with the worm), I'll be switching to tbs and running the spell power and healing bonus mundus. I'll probably even run it on heavy since I've got a gold one. That will allow me to really be in the mix and utilizing talons/ draw essence more often since I'm not even utilizing the spell penetration from light armor. I kinda like that idea more actually lol.

Not really a healers set, but if you want to provide utility and not DPS I'm assuming you're running with a group? Fasallas is underated, debuff the enemies healing, and makes them easy pickings for allies.

We've got a bs Templar and a stam dk with fasallas on, you're right about the importance of that set!

    I would do something like 2 bogdan/2infernal guardian + 5 trinimacs + 5 sanctuary/5 Worm/5transmutation w/ maelstrom and master weps
