Has draining shot earned a spot in your PVP build yet?

Decided to break away and run a new build with my Redguard stam DK in pvp. After playing with a few setups I ended up with Black Rose (although the set is frowned upon atm, it's unbeatable imo on a stam dk pvp build), Blood Spawn, agility, Maelstrom Maul, and Masters Bow. I decided to give draining shot a try after dueling my buddies stam dk. Unless the skill is nerfed or another viable option presents itself, it's earned a permanent spot on my bow bar. Combined with vigor, well times rally procs, and major mending through igneous, the heals on this build are outstanding. At any point, If you're being overly pressured by an opponent, this skill offers a great way to switch immediately from defensive to offensive mode. Draining shot, a quick vigor cancelled by a bar swap directly into a crit rush, and the tides of the fight are quickly turned to your favor. Very underrated skill

Had it for a while on my stam sorc, but traded it in for hurricane. Much happier with the extra physical protection and light damage dealing.

If you've got space for it, it's really not bad. Can usually get 8-9k crit heals out of that thing, and considering sorc lacks a decent CC, it's good for getting people away from you when you need some space. Not sure if they've fixed it, but you could use the knock back effect twice on someone before they actually got immunity, pushing them quite far away. This is great because it gives you distance to cast dark deal. Dark Deal can be bashed, throwing you off-balance, so you don't really want to be around enemies when you use it.

Draining shot has earned a spot on my bow bar. It has saved my hide more times than I can count!

I've been swapping it in and out. The shortcoming is the low range which makes it very situational but dam that heal and knockback is nice when you can fire it.

I use it for duels on my bow bar. The healing is lovely, but I also love the pushback. Great to get sorcs out of their mine-circle, templars out of their rituals and stam builds out of their caltrops.

When I PVP in a group I swap it for bombard or caltrops though, both are more efficient DD-skills when you move fast and have healers around.

You can still do that, however the second knock back doesn't provide the disorient. A fair trade and should be left alone imho.

More distance for knocking someone off a ledge, or half the knock back distance for a disorient.
