The first major dueling tournament that I recall was hosted, and streamed on twitch by a guy named Andrew from an AD guild called Entropy Rising (They created TamrielFoundry.com). Since there wasn't Stamina vs Magicka back then, I'm going to limit this post to the four different classes. So here it goes:

Which class was the winner in this dueling tournament? Also when you submit your answer, let me know which class came in second place?

The option are listed in alphabetical order.

    Console player here, I've heard the tales of the beast that was the DK.

    Safe guess would be DK up until 1.3/4, but there were really great duelers that could beat early DK.

    That's what I remember, too - not sure it was the first tournament though, after all that's NA.

    Yup that Templar was Vincenzo if I recall and he beat Sypher in the final if I'm thinking of the right tournament

    The winner was a sorc, and second place was a Nightblade :-)

    You had them make multiple characters in each alliance.

    I remember this tournament, it was held after the first Legend tournament. With the templates provided it wasn't very competitive at all (players who actually played the PTS and had their own gear dominated the lackluster templates that were given).
