What kind of reward for PvP ranks ?

First, sorry for my english, but I wanted discuss about this idea with the international community.

Since ESO decrease max AP needed for get PvP rank, and the increase of AP earned generally, the rank utility in Cyrodiil is it still worth it ?

I mean, there is no reason to earn new rank if there is any bonus of it. After the level 14, where alliance war skills are fully unlocked, the next level are useless, 14 to 50 are just here for show your supposed PvP rank.

The interest in ESO is to follow our character, to unlock success, level up skills, try new build etc.

Then, why not to give a real interest to unlock new PvP rank ?
For each rank unlocked (this increase will start at rank 15 PvP, when alliance war is fully unlocked), you should be able to increase your CP cap, like 9 per rank (3 per branch).

It means for your 50 rank PvP succeeded, you'll get 315 more CP to use ONLY in Cyrodiil. Then 531+315=846 CP max.
Another example, for 35 rank PvP succeeded, 531+180=711 CP, etc.

This concept will give a real interest and a objective to rank up, and of course to play your char.

There shouldn't be any rewards for high alliance ranks other than those already implemented. Maybe some cosmetics though. Horse or dead body highlight to get a quicker rez. Maybe siege weapons could be made BoP and the cost of siege weapons could decrease with alliance rank.

There should be higher rewards for group leading and the capture of keeps though.

I like the idea of getting rewarded for a higher level in PvP, but I think it will make things very unbalanced that way. The better players will have an even bigger advantage over the lower players (200 cp a lot).

Only having it in Cyrodiil also doesn't work really well, as people might have to craft their full build around that 200 extra cp, which then won't work as well in PvE.

I would much more prefer having mounts, skins, or maybe even emotes and personalities to unlock. I'm baffled that they made the alliance mount a crown store item and not a much deserved reward in PvP. I really hope zenimax will add nice skins and what not as rewards. PvE has plenty of them after all, I don't see why PvP can't have the same. For the players saying it's not fair because they might be bad at it, you can get lots of AP by just being in a group around fights.

Also, special items like the Maelstrom or master weapons would be great, but these should be purchased with AP (like 500k for 1 weapon). This can be the actual Maelstrom or master weapons for all I care, or a complete new set of weapons you can only get by playing PvP

We are speaking about all players here. Many players are more ranked than me (my max is 36 at the moment).

Zerg Squad is 12 mans group, there is many more people people high ranked as well, don't focus on this, it's no sense.

It's another level up system. It's normal for me if you spend time in PvP and unlock new rank to be more powerful.
Maybe reduce again the AP value for unlock rank.

ATM is very easy to farm AP while not being actually good at PvP. Happens on many campaigns, especially the empty ones where there are players that endlessly farm AP by destroying resource towers one on char relogging and rebuilding them on another. Some have even bragged about it. It's not against the rules but it's lame nevertheless.

IMO it's best that the CP cap for PvP is kept the same as for PvE, and both are slightly increased with each update - 30 CP incremental increases every couple of months match most player's CP gain above the cap. And there's OFC the technical issue. How do you actually implement a two tier CP cap in the game? Make 2 CP windows/builds that are in effect depending on the setting? Make a separate reset for each? This will make the game overly complicated as one has to actually remember how the CPs are distributed on each of the builds.

The options available ATM: no CP campaign (Azura's Star) or CP campaign (Ebony Blade, Spell Breaker, Trueflame, Haderus) are plenty. In fact 3/4 of the CP campaigns are either completely empty or only half full most of the time on EU PC where I play. Probably it's similar on most servers - people with low CP run away from high CP, and the high CP all stack on the same campaign in order to farm more AP (ex. Trueflame on EU PC).

Don't be so triggered. It's just a thread for discuss and give importance of Cyrodiil ranks.

I'm exclusively PvP player, and I would like see my char evolve since I play PvP. That's all. Maybe propose something else instead of do unless link between my thread and my guild.

I'm all for it. You should be rewarded in someway for climbing up the PvP ranks. If people are that afraid of Zerg Squad for some reason, then make it only one campaign that this buff would apply to. If you don't have a high rank or are afraid of playing against those that do, you can stay out of that campaign.

Just to make you laugh,
I had my first foray into an alliance war lol
god was I bad in PvP
average survival time 40 seconds lol
I suck but outside of PvP did well for the alliance
so am going to use the excuse I had a bad time with my arthritis so was too slow to react lol
but was fun but will take me time to get another 50 grand gems made to go back in so I can at least survive a little longer
Think i'll have a look for better armour for next time lol

Bad player with more CP will stay bad player... Player who start to deal correctly in PvP will rewarded to their efforts.
And it will be a real interest to focus on your char.

You're wrong this is pvp and you can make groups of 24

and any change made need a point of view of 24 group players

single player with 880cp dont have a big diference, but 24... yes

right now, the game is unbalanced and have skills and broken sets

the big ranked players know how to play and use broken skills/sets, this game dont need more buffed group gameplay

I'd rather see unique cosmetics for a higher PvP rewards. A special custome, faction related mount perhaps.. A special personality maybe?

I'd stretch as far as to say that perhaps add very small insignficant passives.. Similar to former emperor passives used to be.

Siege deals 1% more damage, or maybe a 1% increased movement speed passive for your grand overlord rank. (you haven't been focused until you've ran arround with 5 stars in pvp.)

Just give us something that makes our PvP ranks beeing somehting rewarding and not a punishment.

Special siege equipment, armour, costumes, banners and camps could be unlocked at certain ranks I guess but not CP's. I'm currently levelling a Sorcerer because my Templar is that OP, I actually find it boring to play.

Imagine like a huge banner that only Grand Warlords can wear that gives a small buff like 10% recovery to nearby allies.

I should change the name thread, because increase CP was my idea.

But I wanted just create a debate about why can we do for give interest to unlock new PvP ranks.

It should be pretty cool as Doggy said, to give us something which reward us for high ranks, and not to be only a target, especially for the 50 PvP rank.

I have a few ideas of rank rewards:
Rank 20 and up can highlight enemies for all allies in range to see
Rank 30 and up can siege friendly towers down (although this one not needed anymore, thanks ZOS for removing all the doors...)
Rank 40 and up can place markers on map that are visible to everyone in faction
Rank 50 get a cap with a feather
