You can throw all the hardware you want at ESO's server code, but that won't fix ESO's server code.

I am a computer nerd and I'll happily say this. The amount of hardware and tidiness for the quantity of hardware that makes up the EU server is very, very satisfying to see. More so than an OCD gamer's top-of-the-line gaming desktop. Not me, if anyone's wondering.

Location - Moscow, Russian Federation.
When i played WoW, ping was 30-50ms - server location was in Amsterdam.
When i play ESO, ping minimum 90ms (in empty PvE location) and jumping all the time. Average values between 120-150ms. Why it occurs if servers in Frankfurt?!
Cyrodiil is another story at all. Irrational use of resources of the server is caused by huge spikes of a ping during mass fights.

One colleague worked in Ukraine about 10 years ago for a local operator. At one point he found vodka bottles stashed in front of an air intake of a server in the data room to keep them nice and cool. The maintenance guys were taking a sip from time to time

My wife is from Riga and there the average free city WIFI is at 40-90 mbs when here in Italy is at 2mbs cabled ...i believe Germany is not much better than Italy, both countries are quite old in this tipe of things.

I have 500 Mb/s fiber at home, for about 15 euros a month. That price includes cable TV as well. Of course mega zerg campaigns like True Flame [EU PC] lag as hell though. Probably I haven't reset the darned router in a long time

Rice?

You want to upgrade to the smaller geometry provided by grains of salt. Great performance benefits because the ants can run around much faster, but you might have to upgrade the hamster power supply to use rats.
