Magblade build?

Anyone got any suggested or builds for magblade? Destro/Restro build. Pvp. Mostly what I need is what to have on my bars

When I'm not ganking, I find most of my success running heavy armour seducers, maelstrom destro/resto, 2 piece skoria, and willpower.
Skill wise: Siphoning attacks, cripple, swallow soul/funnel health, merciless resolve, invigorating drain/fear, cloak, shadow image, sap essence, healing ward, double take. Sometimes I swap out shadow image for rapid regen.

Basically I weave inferno staff attacks with swallow soul to proc a well-timed assassin's will bow attack from merciless. Keep up with hard CC and cripple to run stam out/root dizzying swing spammers and templars with jabs/sweeps.

The only fights that can be painful are dks with near 100% uptime of wings, but with that you just really need to time your CC and burst well.

I haven't tried that yet (don't have the right pieces) but I really want to. Add in the wrath passive from heavy armour and watch those damage numbers skyrocket. But I've mostly been focusing on ganking and was in the hospital recently so haven't had time to test much on my "waste all my gold trying sets that may not even work for my playstyle" list haha. And if you're talking about me as best ganker on Xbox NA then and also, I am a girl lol, just play male characters.

I like the cost reduction seducers offers. Add in siphoning attacks and I can sustain for days. If you're only worried about pve though, then stick with julianos, tbs, scathing mage, etc.

It's preference really. I like seducers because I never worry about running out of magicka and if you want to proc kena often, it makes sense (imo) to counter the upped resource costs. A lot of people run Black Rose though when going the heavy armour route, which can also work great (I haven't had a chance to get a full set to test out yet).
If you would switch out kena for skoria or one piece bspawn, one kena or even engine guardian then I would say you may find seducers gives more sustain than you personally need, even in heavy armour. You could also just run one kena and do two torugs for the spell damage.
Other sets you may want to look into trying out: clever alchemist, fasallas, transmutation, necropotence, tavas favour (nbs have such amazing ult gen and you have access to double take as a magblade), amberplasm (if you have the dlc), and kagrenacs.
For pve though, I wouldn't suggest any of this. Go 5 light, 1 heavy, 1 medium with julianos, tbs, scathing, etc...

How about when you're ganking? I tried to do elegance + clever alchemist and 1pc Kena to gank with fire staff heavy attacks on Khajiit magicka NB, but wasn't able to get the damage anywhere near what is possible with my Dunmer DK.

Have you tried 5 Black Rose 4 Elf Bane 3 Willpower? Its ridiculous how hard you hit in heavy armor with this build.

For Gank : 5 Alchemist + 1 Kena + 2 Torug + 5VD

For RvR : 5 heavy Seducer + 5 transmutation + Malubeth

Black rose is really god for Stam Dk and StamSorc !

But to be tankier 5 amberplasm + 5 mazzatun + 2 engine guardian or bloodpsawn

I'm seeing Seducer recommended a lot. Any benefits to doing that over this? I run my MagBlade with 5 Julianos + 2 Kena + 3 Wilpower + 2 Eyes of Mara (when duel wielding). I like jacking up my spellpower.

I'll fire up my sap essense then weave funnel health and light attacks to get my merciless resolve bow plus Kena really jacks my spell power up since the merciless resolve needs 4 light attacks to charge the bow and Kena gives you a boost at 2. That crit hits for about 25k but I don't PVP. I just PVE.

Idk why you'd use heavy Seducer, sustain is already too easy so using a 5 piece solely for sustain is inefficient. The mageblade lacks defense and damage, this is why Heavy armor is nice, it makes the HoTs you have much more effective, in conjunction with Harness you can shield and heal yourself up easily. Now, for sets I feel very strongly that you want to stack a good bit of damage while not sacrificing your sustain. While the 2-4 piece black rose boni aren't great for magika builds they give you enough stam and health that you don't need to use tri-stat foods and prismatic glyphs, allowing you to still squeeze out 40k magika and 3k spell damage with the right complimentary sets and it covers any potential stam regen issues.

Fair enough, I usually hold off until I'm going for the burst/have built up my spell damage from wrath. It can get expensive popping potions all the time though lol.
My main recommendation is to incorporate heavy armour if you go the destro route. You could even go destro/s&b.
