Ice Comet or Shooting Star morph for High Elf Magicka Templar?

Mainly focusing on Vma and pvp. Occasional gold pledge.

Would pick ice comet but if I remember correctly certain mobs have different resistances to the element. And most seem to be weak to fire.
Such as: vamps, humanoids, undead, flesh atro, frost trolls.

But what is ice comet good against? Scamps, fire atro.

Ice Comet snares in addition to being changed to Frost Damage. However, most roll with Shooting Star to maintain the Flame Damage to deal with Vampires and get free Ultimate based on targets hit.

The weakness extra damage is hardly 2% and not worth thinking about.

It really depends, if you're not built for a lot of damage in PvP and need your ultimate to hit harder, ice comet is the clear choice. The synergy of the snare+sweeps is just dirty, particularly in aoe situations and you can use comet+RD to proc vicious death from range.

For VMA, shooting star is by far better, you can nuke bosses and adds with it more often.
