I'll answer here about origins of Argonians.
1) If you don't know, (D)Aedra and The Hist have the same the same ancestors, the Ehnolfey.
2) Also, if you don't know it, Hist are completely sentient and very intelligent, and also, they were first sentient race to inhabit Tamriel, and at one point, they were living across whole Tamriel.
3) After other races started to arrive to Tamriel, Hist were scared of them being destroyed, since they are in form of a tree and cannot defend themselves, so they created Argonians to "see where their eyes cannot see and walk where they cannot walk", meaning to defend them.
4) Up to this day, The Hist rely on the Argonians to defend them, while Argonians rely on The Hist's wisdom to guide them.

The possibility would be the Root of Shivering Isles being connected to the Roots of the Hist? Would Sheogorath and Jyggalag have the same/shared memories.

what I cannot seem to get out of my head is the Argonian in the beginning quests telling of the freeing of the spirits so they might flow to Aetherius..unless she was only referring to the Chimer spirits and the Argonian ones returned to the earth..roots, Hist.
Is the Sap of the Hist Tree the Blood of Argonians. Is this blood considered to be their Soul - their DNA

Hist Sap isn't the Argonian's blood, but the Hist's. Hist Sap contains the memories and souls of Argonians. So when a young Argonian licks the sap during his/her naming day, s/he could gain the memories (possibly the soul) of their ancestors. Because Argonians believe in reincarnations. If you burn the sap, you're destroying the Argonian people. Literally. When an Argonian dies, their soul returns to the Hist of their birth tribe, giving the Hist its memories to pass on to the next generation.
This actually helps with RP of my Argonian(s), because my ESO Argonian is the Ancestor of my Oblivion and Skyrim Argonians (Morrowind was father to Oblivion Argonian but had no relation to ESO Argonian). Because they're all his reincarnations.
What don't you get? S/He clearly asked wtf was Hist Sap, and was it Argonian blood. I explained what it was... I'm not sure how that is confusing. Ok, I did put my RP stuff in there, but this thread IS in the RP section of the forum. If that's a problem, it should of been moved to LORE.dodgehopper_ESO wrote: »How does this relate to the 'cut off' argonians I wonder.
