Sneak in PVP not working?!

Guys, ever since DB came out, my sneak is not working properly anymore. No matter how long I crouch, how well hidden, how few enemies nearby (including 0), in approx. 50% of all cases I won't go into sneak AT ALL once I was in a PVP fight. I will crouch, but that's it.

I checked on being marked, doing Dot, being poisoned, being cast out of hide - NOTHING. I even crouched 3-5 minutes once inside a homekeep - I did NEVER get into sneak. The only thing that seems to help is to crouch - hope / crouch again - hope again / crouch a third time - hope a third time ... and so on, untill it finally works. I even started crouching - casting cloak - remaining crouching. Nothing. As soon as cloak runs out, I'm visible again, even while crouched.

A friend of mine is having the same problem all along, I also see it on enemy players rather often - they crouch somewhere and from their behaviour they obviously think they are hidden but are totally free to see.

Any info on what is causing it and how to avoid it?

Stuck in combat issues. Happens in pvp all the time.

I've noticed this, I go LOS, go into sneak (it says hidden) and then BAM! Gap closer.

I'm like wtf? How did he target me while im hidden?

if it says you re hidden then you are, however it does not give you any warning if the attacker is using detection pots.
and lately the immovable/detection potion combo is something that is very common thanks to a certain Youtuber.

Well if a guard npc sees you in Cyrodiil you are in combat for at least 30 seconds no matter what. Most of the time. lol.

However, Cyrodiil is truly a strange beast when it comes to being in and out of combat. Sometimes I can be sneaking, and people around me go into combat, and that sends me into combat too, even though I am still hidden and sneaking.

Sometimes I go in and out of combat 3-4 times in a 10 second span. Why? Who knows!

Does it have to do with heals? Buffs? Being in a group? Yes. No. Maybe. I don't know.

I honestly doubt the game designers could give a good reason either. But I would love to have an explanation if one exists.

Could be worst could randomly come out of sneak for no reason at all when you are int he middle of no where..... Yea been happening to me since like IC.

Yes, sneak has been getting increasingly worse. If it's an intended mechanic and we understand what's happening, fine. But the wonkyness is unpredictable and doesn't seem right.

- not in battle, watching a fight and...poof...no more sneak despite full stamina.
- Eye gets stuck open despite no one close enough to use detect pots or Magelight.
- Abilities "latch on" and prevent sneak even after dodge rolling and dark cloaking.

The fact that sneak acts up, in combination with the ongoing nerfs to sneak, are making pvp way zergier amd boring. It felt like dark cloak and sneak worked best last spring, before IC.

i "Love" when i go in combat with some Nightblade , he runs away and then i cant Mount or go into sneak for like 2-3 minutes ...... Also sometimes in fight when i`m trying to run away , and move like 50 meters away from the battle my eye is still DETECTED nomatter that i have no debufs or sh1ts on me .....

It just seems incredibly random. I'll have times where I initiate combat with a guy, and I know other players saw me too, and I can go right back into sneak no problem. There are are other times where I do the exact same thing and I can't go back into sneak for a minute or two, no matter how far away I am, there being literally nobody around me, and me not even being in combat still.

It makes zero sense.

Same problem here. Plus sometimes even when cloaked I get permaattacked by several different enemies without being uncovered. Ofc NOT having any dot, poison, channel etc on me that could explain it.

Wrote several bug reports to zenimax too with zero effect.
