The time has come for an official apology.

SammyShotBothSides
In my opinion, with the current state of ESO and the amount of time and money invested in this game, throughout all the glitches, the time has come for the company to release an official apology to it's "investors". I'm unaware of the state of the other various platforms, but, what I do know is that the players on the XBOX have laboured on for over a year now, enduring epic failures of code and quality assurance before releases are made public.

While I still enjoy the game, I feel like I've being taken advantage of. Delayed responses from the company, if any at all, without as much as a promise to resolve long-standing problems, all while paying a monthly fee on top of the initial purchase. If I performed as well as Zenimax and Bethesda have at my employment, I'd be long-fired and completely unmarketable in the future.

Console players should apologize to PC players for having half the bugs and glitches and for being your beta testers. Also when you have walked in the snow up hills both ways for two years and three months then we can talk about apologies. Kappa.
Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Your anger appears to be misdirected towards people who play on consoles, PC gamer. Thanks for trolling.

Just wanted to say this games great. Spent 2,000 +hours on my dragonknight and loved every minute so far (except for the obvious dashboarding).

Good work ZOS we know you'll get it fixed. After the last patch I don't lag out in kvatch, anvil, or hews bane, still not bold enough for orsinium as I hear there are still issues so I'll wait till I here of a fix before returning to that city.

Thanks for the fun and keep at it.

Don't you mean Zenimax should apologize to PC players for this? I was one of those PC players and the console players of which I am one now did nothing but wait an extra year for the game while Zenimax worked the issues out and the PC players (myself included) paid for it.

Like I said after the patch I haven't had any dashboarding issues. It's a big game with a lot of code and it won't happen as fast as we would like but in time it'll get better.

Yeah, this game has its flaws. I'm currently having issues logging in. GUI saying that I have no Xbox connection. When I am clearly logged in. Remember, there are many other games to play. No one has a gun to you're head forcing you to play. Yeah, there are bugs, yes you get dash boarded in Cyrodil. You will encounter invisible players and quest givers that don't load. You even will have to fully restart your system to get ESO plus working. But, watching a character grow from a meek mouse to invincible dragon. Kind of worth the weird crap that happens. It will get fixed. It just takes time. Play something else and come back. I have done that a couple times now. Especially during the long load times 8 months ago. Fallout 4 was a good way to go for a few months.

Because some PC players love seeing how worked up and defensive some console players get over jokes and sarcasm. So yes, trolling. Hence the kappa.

I need to apologize to myself for switching from PC to console. What was I thinking? I was a faithful subscriber on PC since early access, even participated in a couple of open beta weekends. But, I wanted to play on console, as I just like it better than PC in general. But, now that they have native controller support with the same console UI, it's a lot closer to playing on console.

Problem is, I don't want to lose my full year of character progress. I'd pay ZOS another transfer fee to switch back to PC. Heck, I'd even pay full retail price of the game if I could get my characters copied back over!

    Here's a thought...

As an apology, all players, not just the ESO+ subscribers, should be given the crafting bag for free. Or even just the option to buy it in the crown store (wait, what am I saying, spend more? Yeah... Nah...)

It would solve most of our banking issues (the stuff that won't stack, etc) and would make our gaming experience that much more enjoyable.

In 'Kingdoms of Amalur' (sp?), one of the fantasy rpg's I used to play on XBox 360, a crafting bag was part of the base game, not an extra 'paid for add on', or something for elites. Just base game awesomeness, and it helped manage inventory/bank space immensely.

Especially now, since we have about ten new crafting materials for poisons etc. My bank is full, and all of my characters are being used as mules for my various components that won't fit in there. And of course, I can only fit 239 items in my bank, because of stacking issues. We sort of found a way around this by putting runes and crafting mats in our guild bank, but that's only really working because we have a trustworthy guild.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom We know you guys are working on a fix for this, but copy/paste replies to our tickets and taking days and days to unstick characters from the 'Black Hole' areas are starting to take their toll on your loyal customers and fans. Offering us a little something awesome, like the crafting bag, might get us off your backs for a little while.

And a full skill point reset wouldn't hurt either...

Their customer service isn't lacking, bad or slow. It's non-existent.

Aside from lag, disconnects, etc. (which we all endure) it's near impossible to get a response.

My son's highest level char on his account was deleted by the code - I was watching him play at the time it happened. Tickets were submitted from both his account and mine.

Over a week later and nothing but the generic nothing we can do via an Auto-Reply (that after 5 days). No actual person even looked at it, read my tickets(s), called me or responded.

Each of my replies stating not to close the ticket and at least contact me was met with only with another auto-reply and they are closing it unless I reply again (which I have frustratingly continued to do).

I have been on the forums since near console launch (reading mostly). I have over 2,300 hours on my account (the one I am posting on) and 4 true v16's, a 50 (after DB), and two more on their way to 50.

I very rarely if ever post my frustration, but the customer service is the worst I've ever seen. Almost no contact/presence on their own forums.

I'm not sure what else to do or who else to contact.

    Any advice @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ?

I truly love this game but wow.

    Rant over.

Edit: I was contacted by customer service half an hour ago (7/13 @8:00pm est) and they have restored the character. It made my son's day.

It is not us console players who are to blame for the delayed release we got of 1 year. Some of you PC players even got a 5 day early start which was extended because of problems with PC/ESO bugs.

Also not every PC player is a beta tester and I have got involved in many beta testings with ESO. If anyone is to apologise here and now it is you to the OP for your misdirected and nonsense post.

Been playing daily since console release been paying for ESO plus the entire time and have always enjoyed the game until last patch. Now it takes me 5 minutes to walk though a city to avoid load screens and still need to stand in place for 2 minutes before npcs appear. I just don't understand how performance could drop so much in one patch. I cancelled my sub but have invested so much time into the game i don't know how to move on. ZOS please acknowledge and fix the performance.

No apoligy needed. The game works fine except for the main city wrothgar, and they have stated that they are trying to figure out what is wrong.

As far as eso plus goes yeah they should hook up folks having issues with a free month or somthing, you know for people who place a ticket.

Remember its a lot of code to dig throught to find these issues, be patient and have fun.

It's not a lot of code to dig through to find these issues... As a developer I can tell you the issues are related to garbage collection, or the lack thereof. Microsoft hands out specs to developers, IE how much can be held in memory, it should be simple to start releasing things from memory when your xbox is nearing it's memory cap especially in areas like Orsinium where there really isn't a lot of traffic (I can understand Cyrodiil memory issues, especially when people start zerging).

This is why a direct port from PC to Xbox never works without having major issues. To make things worse ZOS fired around 300 developers about the time the game was released. So yes, maybe it's a lot of code to dig through for the handful of developers left that are stuck trying to optimize the game. I assume the majority of ZOS developers are working on pushing out new DLC so they can try to make more cash off of this broken game.
