25+ Times trying to load Character stuck in Wrothgar

I submitted a ticket yesterday afternoon but no acknowledgement whatsoever.
Can you please move her to a place I can log her in at?

Gamertag: Aeaeren
Character: Ranthenae

I have done everything that you request be done before subbing the ticket. Restarted Xbox, Unplugged power for 5 minutes, re-installed game, reset modem, etc. Can we now declare it's NOT my system? Only one time I got past the loading screen to promptly crash most times it just crashes to Dashboard.

2 DLC later and you still can not be in Wrothgar without crashing. Dont even try the crafting tables. I don't understand.

Same thing with my main. I have been unable to play since Wednesday. No response to multiple tickets from other characters.

Have been kicked in the past but usually a hard boot at most and I'm back into the game.

Why has NA got a thread but not EU?

and now any attempt to log on to the game gives me the following error message

I enrage worse than the Argonian boss in vMA when the game boots me out with an error message telling me that I don't have a valid internet connection. Once I calm down, I watch something on Netflix. smh

I finally got the email and responded back that I have done everything in their to do list.

It would be nice to acknowledge that they have an issue at least!

I got a reply to my first ticket after four days. I created it an hour after the Dark Brotherhood patch became available... others have gotten a reply within 24 hours though, I don't know how they work.

Anyway, I had one character stuck for four days next to the Elden Root wayshrine, either crashing while loading, or within three seconds after loading. Then someone on reddit said to push forward on the left analog stick while loading and it worked immediately. Before that I had tried I don't know how many times over four days without any luck.

Since then several characters have gotten this problem, and I now avoid directly travelling to Elden Root Wayshrine or Orsinium wayshrine, and even travelling on guild members just in case the are near them. I just travel to the ones north of them, then ride south into town. Even so, I have still had the crashing happen multiple times, but since then I've been able to free myself every single time in one or two attempts.

    I hope this helps.

Sorry it didn't work for me, I even hard reset the Xbox and tried it again. Still crashes to dashboard.

Ok I unplugged the Xbox ONCE again and then tried again. This time holding the left stick forward I managed to load up and teleport to the nearest wayshrine :)

What works best for me is logging into another toon and then going back to my stuck toon.

I always get kicked out of or can not go to Orsinium on some toons and this seems to work.

    Xbox EU - CP400+

Nice! Elden root is a real black hole, last time it took me three times to fully get my Nightblade out of it, but I got a little further away from the wayshrine every time.

Ah so the toon is moving each time. I get it now.

    @Aeaeren

I honestly wonder why pushing the movement stick (I think the left is for movement) would matter for logging in. I wonder if it was coincidence that you got in this time.

Anyway, the advice about not logging out in a busy place is always good advice. Pop over to a quieter Wayshrine if you don't have a normal camping spot for your Characters.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

I wasn't logging out, I was running down the stairs in the bath house to find the punk who is selling the whatever (Early Orsinium quests) and crashed to dashboard. Since then I couldn't log back into that toon. So I went to my NB and start DB and boy the black silhouettes, frequent loading screens and just plain crashing finally took a toll on me and I went to watching Stargate after my last crash.

That's what I thought, but after 50 attempts this was the only thing that worked for me, since then I've gotten many of my characters unstuck multiple times, and I've asked friends to try it when they got stuck for days and they got it to work too on the first or second try.

Someone originally said to move as soon as you load in, but since I couldn't even do that most of the time, and then I only had a second or two at the most, I decided to try before getting in.

You seem to be able to move before you see it, and that fraction of extra movement time seems to make you able to load properly. I had a particularly nasty crash in orsinium where I tried to load up eight times normally (I originally thought that my first character got stuck because of the update and since she was free it wouldn't happen again) and after trying it with movement again I got in in instantly, however, I crashed at the wayshrine and appeared after a very long loading screen at the stables on the other side of the city.

I don't know why it works, but I know that it works.

OK...I'll have to try that next time.

I've had good luck with loading a different character and then loading the one that was stuck. If that didn't work, I'd delete my local game save file. But, I'll have to try this method and see if it works for me.

I got this, see below. But I was scared as it didn't match exactly with and deleting everything is scarry. I responded with this:

My console has different syntax and questions.
Saved data appears separately from the game.

Most confusing when I go to saved data under my xbox live id and go to delete it has 2 choices. On the console or also on Xbox live?

    1. So, am I deleting the game I leaded from the disk as well as my saved data (character).
    2. If I delete the character do I all so delete it from xbox live?

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team!

We understand that you are experiencing frequent crashes on Xbox One when trying to load a character after the Dark Brotherhood update.

If power cycling your Xbox One does not resolve the issue, you should try the following steps:
    1. Leave the game and open My Games and Apps.
    2. Highlight The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited and press [Menu].
    3. Enter Manage Data
    4. Delete saved data from all sources.
    After that, reload the game.

We are investigating this issue and hope to have it resolved in a future update.

    Warm Regards,
    The Elder Scrolls Online Team

I got fed up with the standerd response I decide to keep trying to log in whilst watching the football. 15 minutes into the game the character suddenly loaded. HES ALIVE. None of this hold up shanagins, I guess the server has problems finding you and crashes. Not an instant fox but worked for me, roughly 15 tries.

Tried to log into my 'stuck in Wrothgar for five days' character for an hour and a half this afternoon. Still can't do it. Will stop playing altogether after this weekend if this issue hasn't sorted itself out.

I'm at 4 hours of logging in a crashing over and over (actually 90% of the time I crash on load screen)on my stuck character. Trying the run forward technique the whole time too...I've made it maybe 10 meters in 4 hours. Never get logged on more than 3 seconds.

They really need more people supporting this game. I've played other games where you are in a 1 hour queue max and then a support person actually talks to you and can help you out. Not this waiting 3 days for emails and getting automated responses which don't even pertain to the issue or problem currently going on.

    This is so infuriating.

Shatful Wayshrine and WALK into Orsinium and PRAY to the Gods nothing happens! I have managed to do my writs 6 times without getting stuck. The music cut out for a split second and my heart stopped but I didn't Freeze.

Have you hard reset the Xbox? I pulled the power cord and left it for like 5 minutes then started my logging in over and over.

My main has been stuck in Wrothgar for about 20 days, the answer to my ticket was talk to Xbox support. I have tried all the above, my character crashed out going through a door after handing in the writs, I have tried for 2 hrs straight repeatedly logging in, crashing back to dashboard, logging onto other characters and back to my main which crashed back to dashboard, and yes, even though I felt like an idiot, i held the the stick forward while loading in. Every day for the last 20 days I have had multiple attempts to log in. My current plan, I have ended my eso plus account, it runs out on the 26/7, which should kick any characters in the dlc back to Grahtwood, *** joy, another lag-out area, see what happens then?? I won't be renewing the eso plus account for the foreseeable future, After spending hundreds of dollars and hours on this game, eso will not see another cent from my bank, and the hours a day have turned into minutes. Sucked in to me, no refund.
