Keep jumping, is it become a feature now?

So... not only DK can leap into some keeps, now almost everyone with crit rush or topping charge can too. If the enemy is ramming outpost door and you pour oil on them or shotting them from the top of the outpost, you help them ignore the door and fly directly into the outpost. Is this a feature now? Why we even need doors and walls anymore?

It's a known gap closer bug.

Everything else would be to complicated for cheaters. ;)

The door only is there for you to enjoy the minigame: "Enter/Exit through the door while you're stuck for several enemies"

This is actually getting a bit rediculous too. Just last night I saw a group of reds (yes, a GROUP) use this exploit to get into a keep. I'd almost be tempted to say this was planned using a "spy" alt too. A "friendly" went and stood right on the grate above the front door. Not dumping oil, not shooting, just standing there. About five seconds later, a group of 8-10 started appearing up top (using the gap closer bug). One person and it "could" be unintentional. Half a raid doing it is clearly a pre-planned exploit. I snapped a few screenshots of it to send in as a report, but doubt anything will be done about it.

    Working as intended!

Jumping into keeps adds an interesting dynamic to the game, just sitting there and watching people shoot pointless snipes and Jesus beams from full health from the safety of their walls is boring. Jumping into keeps and making actual dynamic and fun PvP makes sieges so much more interesting.

If they don't fix this soon I think they should make a new cinematic where the EP don't need to use magic from that AD girl to break the wall anymore. The Nord dude can just Crit Rush to the top of the wall. Oh and before that, the Breton NB can just ambush from the top of the cliff to the keep.

The siege in this game is blitzkrieg/arcade style and has very little to do with a realistic siege except for the equipment.

Taking this into consideration its not outlandish to have people use game skills to scale walls, its just not an equal playing field because not all classes can perform this move.

How about just a big room with none of those pesky defensive obstacles where everyone can spam their abilities? That sounds like an awesome game. A single class, with visible wings, occasionally flying from roughly the same height is dynamic and fun. Anyone with a gap closer from any height is just stupid.

I disagree. It would be cool to "climb wall" but it must take time, and people climbing should be vulnerable to the defense force on the wall. And there should be limit rope you can climb and some kind of big bad boss NPCs patrol the wall and cutting the rope and warning across the map. Or else keeps are meaningless because people can take it too fast and not even a warning for the defense alliance.

No, this isn't how it is suppose to work. Is exploiting a glitch the only way to for the game to be interesting to you?

Your suppose to break the wall down before entering the keep - then you earned the right to go in and have your fun and tear everyone apart.

    Elrana Tinuviel - Hybrid Dragonknight
    Elentári Peregrine - Sorcerer "bank"
    Rán Xīng - Hybrid Templar
    Laurïsil Imlachwen - Stamina Templar
    Helotë Tinuviel - Hybrid/Magicka Warden
    Odin banker - obv banker
Yan of the Red Mountain - lvl 3 DK - not sure when I will work on em

Seeks the unusual and unique playstyles...

Adding an ability to scale walls officially to the game is going to open the door to what OsarMantrose said. People would regularly use alt's to cheat the system and take keeps without even having to attack them.

Best solution to all these exploits? Fix gap closers to not go vertically! I'm not talking vertically up a slope of a hill, I'm talking straight up in the air. That would be the easiest way for ZOS to fix this. Alternatively...

The second best solution to this (though not easiest I know) would be to add some zone coding into the keeps and towers. Small towers (Nikel, Sej, etc) - If the doors & walls are intact and an enemy player (ie. not of the faction that currently owns it) gets into the keep, they are immediately teleported back to their starting area. Add the cavat to this that the 'zone' has a window of like 5 minutes - in case one faction seiges, gets inside, then the walls are repaired while fighting is taking place.

For large keeps, to prevent the back-repair booting the enemy out (you get the outer wall down, begin sieging the inner and they repair the outer again) - the zone can be flagged for 20 minutes after the repairs are completed or until the "in combat" seige indicator is off for 5 minutes - whichever is longer. If you're in a zone that isn't falling into the above "combat" situations, guess what? You get teleported back to the starting area of your faction and have to walk back to that keep. Think its not fair to be sent back like that? Don't exploit.

I know this isn't the easiest solution, of course. The easiest would be for them to fix the gap closers in general! However, if they refuse to fix their exploits, at least add in a penalty for those who DO use them. As it is right now, we have emp groups regularly using this (amongst other) exploit(s) to their advantage. I called one guy out on it and their answer? "Only 2 or 4 people doing it. Besides, its better than running around with 20+ players zerging!" That's right.. a PVP zone designed for 60+ players on each faction to fight each other, its preferable to actually exploit glitches in the game for an advantage than to actually play the map how it was intended. Gotta love the logic!

I would probably care less about this bugged mechanic if they would just add an alert system that tells you a keep is under attack , with or without siege .

Is this in PC or console?

If it is in PC, then the fix they did some weeks? ago was... how can I say... defixed?
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

A whole squad of like 6-8 AD jumped into a keep last night prior to the wall coming down on Trueflame. I guess they are worried that their lead has pretty much vanished, and can't actually win in a straight up fight.
