How good is Camo Hunter in PvP?

They now do the same thing as Mage Light (expose enemies for 5 seconds) but instead of Major Prophecy (Spell Crit) you gain Major Savagery (Weapon Crit) which is presumably better for Weapon/Stamina Builds? Critical Hits from Stealth (presumably very guaranteed with certain skill combos) grant minor berserk for 8% increased damage for the next 5 seconds.

In addition to all this just for slotting it you gain 3% weapon damage from the Slayer III passive.

Is this a decent alternative to the Mage Light skills or nah?

It provides the crit% bonus and ability to see stealthed enemies like Magelight.

However, Radiant Magelight provides two big things.

    1) 50% resistance to stealth attacks. A hard counter to gankers. Tough to give up.
    2) The ability to Empower your next attack

The Minor Berserk is nice, but if you are a NB you can get this from Relentless Focus.

All in all Camo Hunter was very strong because of the damage component, which has now been removed. People might still slot it for added crit%, especially in PVE, but i would think that most people will drop it.

    Redguard Stam Sorc (PVP)
    Altmer NB (DPS)
    Imperial DK (Tank)
    Redguard DK (DPS)
    Altmer Templar (Healer)

Ah I wasn't sure if the extra 3% bonus damage had any weight in its value also, for being slotted. I knew you would be trading the damage reduction for other things, but I thought due to the minor berserk being on this you could then free up a slot instead of using Relentless Focus thus you could put up...idk something.

The Minor Berserk is only from stealth(not invisibility) attacks and only for 8 secs.

Pretty useless in PvP now and I'm quite glad because I've always tried to find space for Relentless on my front bar, which will be even better since the change to poison.

It will help non NB ganking provided they can get a crit upon opening and significant damage in the 5s after opening otherwise its pretty much garbage. Evil hunter is looking to functionally work much better, with Marksman 5p, +5 medium armor, +CP, the cost stacks up significantly upon use. With those bonus' my Silver Shards costs 1700 and my Circle of Protection costs 3900, upon activating Evil Hunter costs drop to 798 for Silver Shards and 1900 for Circle of Protection.

In PVE this doesn't matter as you cannot recoup the 2500(my current cost) cost of Evil Hunter itself during the 5s buff, unless you were to get 3-4 casts of Silver Shards in that 5s, most of the time this would not be worth it. However provided PVP if you are trying to flush out a ganker this accomplishes that while giving you dirt cheap Silver Shards to throw their way, or to throw down a defensive.

All in all neither morph is very attractive damage wise but for weapon crit it is not like you have a whole lot of other options. If you are a DK you can use Flames of Oblivion but now it costs a ridiculous amount of magicka for fire damage that scales terribly with Stamina.

In Night Blade world commonly referred to as Cyrodil the stun and stealth damage prevention is key.

    Give me Radiant Magelight.

It crit were more important in PVP then camo could get a nod but it's towards the bottom of list of importance in Cyrodil.

Plus only a NB can guarantee a crit out of stealth.

Edit only a NB with any attack any class could use crit rush from stealth provided it works correctly.

Yeah I'm just curious. I see the same builds come out with the same skills but there's like a lot of skills in this game.

I wish there were some super post every patch that's like "We don't use Fiery Rune because it's inferior to this similar skill. We don't use circle of protection because it's inferior to this other defensive buff." etc...

I'm not a mathematician so I'm always wondering why so many of the best builds just look like a hodge podge fo randomly thrown together skills with little synergy etc..

The best builds also require skill to pull the deeps. An average to below average player will pull more dps with a simpler build than with a top dps build because they won't be able to juggle the different dots, procs, and buffs required to be up.

It's easy to get confused with all the builds and combos out there. I'm a big supporter of people playing with what feels comfortable first. It's easy to get disappointed when you copy the "top build" then suck really bad with it lol I read it all the time.

How valuable would a vampire be to this type of build?

    - Increases Magicka and Stamina recovery by 10%
    - Reduces damage dealt to you when you fall below 50% health. Lower health increases the effect, reducing damage by up to 33%
    - Reduce the movement speed penalty while in crouch by 50%. Decrease the time it takes to crouch by 50% during the night.

These may or may not help? Thoughts? Opinions?
