    Night Runner Captain's Journal     should be in Karnwasten. I cannot seem to find it at the location, however I suspect it has to do with the quest/event/achievement [A Book and its Cover]. In Archon's Grove there seems to be something to with with a unique named npc and freeing prisoners.

    Yep, that note is one of two or three notes that are placed directly in your inventory. Every other book that is 'accessible through quest' will be read to progress in the quest, thus making them unmissable. One of them is Writ of Valid Credentials but I can't remember what the third was.

    As for Message in a Bottle, there are three versions and one of them seems to be bugged. As in, it doesn't trigger the Eidetic Memory entry.

    Interesting, I have the Book and its Cover achievement, and I went to Karnwasten yesterday but couldn't find the book. Not sure I see the connection either, as this achievement is not really involving any Night Runners, it's about spotting and assisting in 5 random encounters in Summerset. Well we will see I guess :P The Archon's Grove, yeah, have tried to free the prisoners but haven't figured out what's the deal there! -,-

    I am missing just 3 books now.-

    Summerset Scrolls:
    Night Runner Captain's Journal If this is connected to the A Book and its Cover Achievement and event I can check it, there should be multiple ways and locations I have found. It does seem unlikely, because the event is like the fighting the orc achievement from Orsinium, where there is random locations in overland zone with random events, and if you get the right one it counts towards the achievement. Seems odd to have it in a public dungeon.

    The Archon's Grove Spent time looking around in the dungeon, and killing the weird boss, freeing the prisoners, looking for quests. Solo and with group, and tried again with the dungeon daily. Have not found anything so far. I guess it's not that some of us picked the wrong options during the dungeon quest either, because no one has found it so far.

    Mysteries and Clues:
    Message in a Bottle The one that gives the Achievement does not give you the Eidetic Memory log, as the entries I have are a cooking recipe, and a love letter. When I farmed the bottles I have read the note with the Sailors Fate though, so they can all be found, the last one just does not count.

    About the "A book and it's cover" achievement i tried to side always with the bailiff, but it didn't help...no book present in karnwasten....tomorrow i'll try on another toon to always side with the "poor argonian" (kinda fishy, imo)...."the pack of archon grove" seems more a book to discover the location (there was something similar in several old maps, like auridon or stonefalls).....does anyone know if the quest "Bantering with Bandits" is related to the night runner captain journal? it's the only quest i don't remember to have found....

    Hi, now you're in charge of the "Lore Book" addon, I have one question ...

    Do you think it would be possible to get a warning when a quest is placing a book in our inventory ? And/Or an automatic reading ("use" action) option maybe ?

    Ok, some will say, "just look at your inventory regularly !", "you should see incoming objects in the loot window" ...
    OK, ok, I try to be carefull but I miss some anyway, and when I'm reading this thread, I'm not feeling alone ;)

    Actually, I was thinking the exact same thing just a few days ago. Automatically read/use it won't be possible I think but some sort of popup or alert is quite doable. :)

    @Peppo_Lives Bantering with Bandits is a follow up quest to Hulkynd's Heart, taken near the winery outside Alinor. You need to help Manacar check on Tableau, he fears she is in danger. No Night Runners involved!

    Message in a bottle: the achievement one does not get marked off when found

    Night Runner Captain's Journal: no location found

    The Archon's Grove: no location found

    Divine prosecution notification: can be found on streetlamps in each town but becomes uninteractable if you accept one of the daily quests in Alinor before reading it. If anyone knows a workaround for this one please let me know.

    @MRusso89 wasn't that the paper you find b4 having to find the reagents and open the portal to that mephala realm and save the webbed woman and u see artaeum in the background ? if so zos [snip] it up again with the quest items that u interact and don't count....
    @Holger30 could be where you save that guy b4 killing ktora in that dungeon? im gona check now

    I did that quest with the intent to look for the book and I never read it so if it is during that quest it isn't mandatory to continue. I checked the reported location and couldn't find anything. It is worth noting that I opted to lockpick the chains so I did not actually kill K'Tora that Sload boss in Karnwasten during the quest.

    Edit: Found the problem: you can skip the part where you have to grab the journal for Grog with a [Persuasion] check, in which case he tells you straight away and the journal you would otherwise need to find does not appear. :(

    I found this book "Invitation to the Kinlady's Conference" with my second Char.
    I got it from Razum-dar at Shimmerene in the Pub "Anchor Aweigh Inn".

    The book was gone after the Conference in the Garden.

    Note from Khezuli's Contact - Permanently missable when questing with someone else and finishing "A Little on the Side" without reading it. Please put it somewhere outside for people that already finished this quest.

    Gold Coast Tomes
    Secret Note - Permanently missable when questing with someone else and finishing "The Sweetroll Killer" without reading it.
    Soggy Note - Permanently missable when questing with someone else and finishing "The Sweetroll Killer" without reading it.
    Up High Note - Permanently missable when questing with someone else and finishing "The Sweetroll Killer" without reading it.

    Mysteries and Clues
    Message in a Bottle - Bugged. When the correct bottle message is found, it provides the achievement, but doesn't mark the Eidetic Memory entry as read.

    Summerset Scrolls
    Invitation to the Kinlady's Conference - This book is put in one's quest inventory during the last objective of "The Queen's Decree" quest, without any indication. Once the quest is finished, if the book is not read, it is automatically deleted and can never be obtained/read anymore.
    Sapiarch's Recommendation - This book is put in one's quest inventory during "Culture Clash". Once the quest is finished, if the book is not read, it is automatically deleted and can never be obtained/read anymore.
    Writ of Valid Credentials - This book is put in one's quest inventory during "Culture Clash". Once the quest is finished, if the book is not read, it is automatically deleted and can never be obtained/read anymore.
    Night Runner Captain's Journal - During the quest "The Abyssal Cabal", you have the option to persuade an NPC. If you do this, you will permanently miss this book, as only not persuading him makes the book spawn.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno None of these quests can be repeated. Sharing or being in party with someone else who has the quest does not work. Please put these books somewhere in the world, so players that have finished the respective quests can still obtain them.

    Books that are not known as bugged, as they have not been found yet, but might be missing in game completely:

    @Meld777 I specifically check my quest bag every time I do a quest constantly since I got used to bugged books and stuff and I can confirm I read that invitation and for some reason it did not count on my eidetic memory >< same goes for sapiarch recommendation and writ of valid credentials...as for night runner captain journal I did not find or see it :/

    I've been working on a new option for LoreBooks that will try to read such quest books upon receiving them. It's not perfect since I cannot actually see if its a readable thing or just usable in general. It'll be released tomorrow or the day after (depending on my migraine) and it will have a few more quest books (well, labeled as such) that have since been reported and verified by me ingame together with some missing bookshelves books.

    I still can't get this one as it simply doesn't show anywhere in Paragon's Remembrance after the quest is done:

    @ZOS_GinaBruno I've reported that one unobtainable post-quest over a year ago, multiple times, and haven't seen a patch fix it yet.

    My bad, I just logged in and looks like I actually had it already lol. Forgot to check it off on the book list I made. But that quest does suck if you missed the books in the conservatory.

    I'm still having trouble finding Oracle's Vision :(. I went back to Bewan but can't enter the Spiral Skein anymore. I also checked the Mages Guild in Skywatch where Vanus takes her, but I cannot find it anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm on XB1 NA if that influences anything.

    Arowende's diary page 23 and 26 seem to be locked behind a mine that is locked behind a quest. Anyone know if there s another location for it?
