Stamina or Magicka Templar for pvp?

slowpoke68
Trying to decide whether I should stick with my level 12 Breton Magicka Templar or reroll as an Imperial to do Stamina.

Ultimately I want to be a pvp tank.

New to the game so looking for some insight into which might suit that play style better.

Also I read about poisons coming in the next patch. Will ritual cleansing counter them?

Thanks much.

The only other thing I'm considering at this point would be a stam DK, but it seems like Templar would be better.

    For stamina go redguard.

My magplar is easier to tank with than stamplar, but stamplar absolutely wrecks at 3500 wd. Sometimes players die so quick I think they stealth potted, until I see their body.

I prefer redguard for dps and imperial for tanking.

Imperial is a good choice for Stamplar as it gives you 2 great options in Stamplar DPS or Tankplar(Trollplar) stacking HP for Blazing shied funzies.

For pure DPS Redguard is better.

For Magicka Bretton or Altmer would be ideal.

All are fun, but I prefer Stamina and Tanking so Imperial was ideal for me.

You can run a magplar as an imperial. Just use all magicka enchants. Yes you'll never get to the exact mathematical maximum but the added health and stamina are just enough to be the difference between living and dying.

With that said, if you wanna be an imperial tank in PVP you may wanna go with an all health build. You'll be swinging wet noodles but it'll take 20 minutes to kill you.

With the added bonus of you slaughtering any fool who tries to melee you with his/her own dmg. (Blazing Shield)

    Thanks a ton guys.

My Breton is Magicka specced and at level 12.

Started an Imperial I have up to level 6 that I am doing stamina with.

Going to keep playing the Imperial and see how it goes.

Always fun to throw 10 Binding Javelin (Stamina morph) during a fight to help my DPS guildies jump on the stunned enemies.

And always fun to knock enemies off their horses or knock them down when they're running away.

I would run nord or imperial...or argonian. Best max health from imperial plus extra stamina, nord gives great mitigation plus extra health. Argonian gives best healing numbers, which in turn is you way to survive as a templar stamina or magick. For spec, I love magicka templar...it just feels so right...absolutly hard to kill, but wrecks ***

For magicka with the change to 28m on Aurora Javelin, I take a strangely large amount of glee in knocking people off of outposts walls, and RD'ing them the whole way down. I did no less than 7 of these in a large fight at Sejanus earlier today.

Naturally, they die on impact with the ground + a tick of RD.

I find the ability to switch to a healing roll as opposed to tank is better in pvp. Good groups ignore tanks and run immovable pots so you won't be drawing much fire or stunning. At least dk tanks can use talons.

    For PvP only,
Then go for bosmer due to good steam regen( which is very essential for PvP)
as well as sneak passive. You can switch magicka and stamina as a bosmer.

Almost all emperors, that I have seen are bosmers.
