What is taking my Magicka?

The last few weeks I've been hit with either Wrecking Blow or Critical Rush and it saps all 40k magicka right from me. I can't tell if it's these skills, some passives or just more cheaters but it's driving me mad. Can someone please tell me how this is possible?

Do you always die within a few seconds after?

If it's a yes then it's a health desync. In the sense that you're actually dead which removes all resources but your health hasn't dropped yet so you can still move around a bit.

This is what I thought was happening up until yesterday. Then it happened easily 10 times in a half hour in the IC Arena. Normally I'm pretty good at staying alive. Not so much yesterday. That said, to your point, once the sides evened out it didn't seem to happen any longer. You could be right.

It happens fairly regularly to me on PS4 during peak times and populated areas. I previously thought it was some ability bug but I've died a few times once my resources dropped when I wasn't receiving any further attacks which rules it out. A guy I play with confirmed it was a desync and it happens to him regularly as well.

Soon the answer to this question will be poisons. Really not looking forward to that.

Yeah, such a *** ridiculously unnecessary implementation. I know some players that are considering leaving just at the thought of it seeing as the last I saw was them for sale on the PTS Crown Store at double the strength of crafted ones. P2W.. GG Zo$, GG

Grain of salt here because I'm on console, but that's the PTS. I wouldn't worry too much about sold poisons being better than crafted ones considering that's never been the case for potions. Also ESO is one of the least pay to win MMOs I've ever seen. There is not one thing in the crown store that you need to buy to complete end game PVE or be a top PVP player. Doubt that will change now

Well I only saw a post commenting on that as I'm also on console but I was surprised in the differences. I just hope that it doesn't transfer over to the live release because poisons look bad enough as they are without stronger ones being able to purchase.

I've had the same thing happen with stamina, its not the same as when all your resources disappear but you haven't dropped yet. Instead seemingly everything you do costs 1/3 of your resources and they just stop coming up, so within 2 abilities and 2 dodge rolls I'm empty and trying to use skills/block/dodge and cant do anything but use a couple magicka skills I have on my bar. It is somehow related to lag as far as I can tell, it's like your regen just stops completely and then all your cost reduction CP or sets also fail. If your lucky someone else kills the person you are fighting and then you end up using pots while not in combat trying to get resources back, usually it will normalize after a couple minutes.
