My dilemma (well not really but input would be nice)

I'd like to get some thoughts on this.
So I have oodles of skill points and have never gotten the higher tiered Alliance War abilities.

I'm primarily a magicka build.

I would like something that helps detects NBs and other stealthed characters. I was thinking of getting either
Flare or
Caltrops

I was thinking Flare because its a magicka based and I can cast them all over the place repeatedly.
But I was also thinking of Caltrops because they can hinder stealthed/hidden characters and its a stamina dump.

Both serve their purpose, just in different ways.

Thoughts on which one should I get?
And what morph of each is better?

If you are primarily magicka the caltrops are really expensive and will eat up a huge chunk of your stamina. What about mage light?

Magelight, flare or detect pots are best options for a magical build, caltrops costs way too much Stam to be worth it.
Personally ive never used flare, not worth a slot on my bar imo. I usually just use Magelight or aoe skills to break cloak. Though sometimes I'll use a dirty detect pot :P

I have magelight already anyway but I wanted to cast something while in the IC Sewers or when repairing walls. Nothing irritates me more than a proxy det suicide bomber that takes us all out when we're repairing a wall after taking a keep.
And yeah, screw caltrops. Man it takes out half of the available stamina and regen is slow.
