No secret that Rite of Passage is one of the worst ultimate, especially for PvP.
A. Effectiveness scaling - Most of time with current PvP meta healing just not enough to overcame incoming damage and ironically healing ultimate can't heal strong enough, unlike Devouring Swarm that increase effectiveness based on number of enemies.
B. Unability to move or block or cast in combination with paragraph
A ironically decreasing chances to survive instead of increasing it, unability to attack reducing dps and in summary this ultimate just apply a huge penalty on user in PvP, not to mention that standing on one place while fighting boss' mechanics is death sentence.
C. Focused Healing was fully revamped and transformed into semi-mobile healing buff, that no longer require people to stay on caster's areas of protection. However this ultimate still working on old mechanic that was revamped...
Simple way to make this ultimate viable, especially for small-scale groups and solo templars:
Remove caster's disable while channeling it. So templar will be able to move/block/cast, i.e. do any sort of things like all other ultimates. With revamped Focused Healing, healing buff simply no longer required for this ultimate and can be completely removed. Instead of sometimes bugged pray animation there is way to have new animation: from Maw of Lorkhaj trial - iconic yellow nimb round templar head that will shoot healing orbs animation and doesnt reqire caster to stay in praying animation.
