Proxy Det Fix!! Come on ZOS this is EASY!!

Here is the Proxy Det Fix!!!
SO SIMPLE ZOS!!!

We all know Proxy Det was meant to be a Zerg Killer not a Zerg Maker, so here is the fix!

When hit by Proxy Det, player gets a Debuff or Buff haha where he can't be hit by Proxy Det again for 5 secs.
( This will stop Zergs from balling up and using Proxy Det ) They will still ball up and spam AOE Spells though, like they have in the past.

This is where the Zerg killers ( Proxy Det / VD wearers ) can still do work on the Zerg Army.

    It needs to do 2k then add 100% per every additional target in the radius up to like 6. So 2k against one, maxes at 12k

    Idea, causes the game to calculate one more thing so maybe a good one or bad one who knows, proxy det's damage is reduced by X% for each ally around the caster (8m radius) on cast.

    If proxy det gets nerf ed, magicka Dk's will need another 40% buff increase to at least one spell. Currently, proxy det is one of the only ways they can actually burst down an opponent. You have to realize that so much goes into nerfing skills and buffing skills. It takes hundreds of hours of testing to determine how they will effect each class in every situation. People make posts calling for nerf and have no idea what it really takes to do so. The whole nerf/buff posts are very unhelpful and just banter of people complaining. If your dieing to proxy det, get higher spell resist and learn to use block. Guess what, if it wasn't 30 proxy det from a zerg, it would be 30 crystal frags, or wrecking blows, or snipes... I mean it's not like classes don't have other skills that when combined with 30 people will wipe an entire group. However, when counting a zerg one of the best ways to do so is proxy det and vicious death. It goes both ways and makes a way to effectively wipe a large group with a smaller group.

    Just delete proxy and replace it with a ranged channeled aoe that renders you unable to move as you cast it, could also add a cast time before the channeling aswell or something like that.

    Replace proxi det with spammable meteor. One version physical stam based, other magicka based. Problem solved. Pvp would be glorious and the servers would catch on fire 12 minutes later.

    You could tweak the numbers and make the scaling Exponential instead of Linear.

    What does this solve?

    Well instead of getting 50% extra damage for hitting 5 people, it would be somthing much lower, some where in the 5-12% range.

    However if you hit 10+ people it will still scale vary hard (almost just as hard as if it were linear).

    Now you wont be getting shreked small scale and it will be used for its design. Which is zerg bombing.

    Its very simple.

    I like your idea but I also like the damage I get when I get attacked by a group of 3-6 gap close spammers. If they are smart they will attack in twos or use a ranged attack( bow or staff) but they all want dive in and proxy punishes them for making poor choices. I also like the idea of nerfing its damage for allies within a certain radius I think that would stop the zergs from slotting it.

    It would be nice if damage was also reduced for how many allies are in the radius like you said.

    However if 6 people gap close you, you should not be able to wreck with proxi. The base damage of proxi is already pretty stronge. How could you compare the same thing happening to someone stamina or without proxi? 60% extra damage against 6 people is way overboard when its design was for zerg scale.

    Your not punishing 6 players jumping you. In reality your cheeseing them with a broken skill being abused in small scale.

    Proxi needs a change. You cant lie its cheese for small scale.

    You could claim 6 people having the ability to gap close you is another issue though.


    About gap closers...

    Personally gap closers need to applie a debuff that does not allow anyone else to gap close on them either. This is just somthing ive always thought about to fix gap closers.

    Sooner or later you'll just have 6 people snipe you instead of gap close because of how stupid proxi is killing small scale or with this gap closer debuff i suggested.

    Then we will have the same mess. Everyone is spread out but spamming ranged attacks. Proxi wont work but zergs will still win.


    So many things need to be done for progress of pvp large and small scale.

    Proxi is a problem and gap closer spam is aswell.

    In the end numbers win, smart plays win, flanking etc.

    Siege and keeps will always be the counter because 20_20 siege is max too.


    So much to consider. Most people on the forums imo look at the small picture. Just 1 or 2 things at a time. When there is a big picture too.

    Zerg warfrare should still exist. I want huge battles. I dont get why so many people complain and only want this small scale. Sure lag is a big concern but other then that, man up and fight with your alliance.

    I'd prefer honestly if people did spam ranged attacks then I wouldn't be constantly snared. Pvp in its current state feels as though I'm walking through quicksand rather than fighting in the middle of a field. I really like the Idea of large scale pvp I just like for my skills to work when I press the button aswell. And everyone else Sucks up my healing ward when allies are near : (. With the slight buff to certain bow abilities I cant believe people aren't using them more. But like you said no easy fix here. And the whole picture is huge I know just everyone has different wants from eso and every one will never be happy. : ( One shotting groups Is not balanced by any means but for the mean time I'm glad there is a zerg counter.

    If you want to kill zergs, just make it so that if you use an aoe skill, all allied players within 100 meters of you die.

    There, problem solved.
