CP Tree: Hardy/Elemental Defender vs Spell Shield/Physical Armor

What do you guys think is more effective, splitting CP between Hardy and Elemental Defender or Spell resistance and armor? I have 18 points between hardy and defender, put them all into light armor focus. Really not noticing any worthwhile difference. How about you folks with more champion points in these fields?

I tried* putting them into light armor focus as a sorc. Apparently editing my own post is a big no no.

Split between Hardy/Elemental Defender.

As a guild line you can divide the armor/spell resist hard-cap 33k by the 50% hard-cap mitigation.
This translates to roughly 660 armor/spell resist to mitigate 1% physical/spell dmg.

As magicka sorc split between Bastion:Hardy:Elemental Defender in the ratio 3:1:1 for small scale setup.
This will give you huge dmg shields which will increase your survival greatly with Hardened Ward, Harness Magicka and/or Healing Ward.
