armour/spell res dont effect it. CP passive mitigation does

And the stat the shield is based on. For sorcs shield it is based on magica whereas the Templar shield is based on health.

Only damage that gets through the shield and actually hits you is affected by your mitigation, if the damage the can be mitigated.

I thought of damage happened that went over your shield's health it was not affected by your resistance check because shield done apply resistance.
