If you're doing a stam DK, yes it's good to have a ranged option even if you don't use it all the time.

I started levelling a bow (and DW daggers, too) with my DK and one of my NBs when they were VR16 already.
Although I've been skeptical first, I can't tell you how much fun I still had, especially in Wrothgar while questing there! There are some quests where you are on your own most of the time, you can go around sneaking, hiding, aiming and whatnot - almost like in the singleplayer ES games, which I didn't think it's possible it ESO! The combat mechanics are different, though, but it's still awesome. So yeah, if you like using a bow, use it, it's worth it!
Just picked up Bow on my DK as I'm making a DPS build. (Stam / 2H / Bow)
I'm loving Bow so far and would recommend it. As others have mentioned it adds some much needed mobility and range to a Stam DK build. The damage output is pretty awesome too.
I use a bow and dual wield all attacks do physical damage. I use the bow first shoot volley with the increase range radius morph for physical damage then arrow barrage to immobilize them. Then I get in close use fiery breath to reduce physical resistance and use choking talons to keep them in the Volley Area, while finishing them off with Dual Wield abilities. Corrosive armor is a good ultimate for this as well because all physical atracks ignore all physical resistance. If you like the bow then definitely use it.
