DRAGONKNIGHT 2H ONLY BUILD VIABLE FOR PVP?

I've been trying out different weapon types, but I haven't really fallen in love with any as much as 2H. Does the ESO community see any major drawbacks to using a 2H/2H build for pvp? (p.s. I haven't done much of any pvp yet, but I'm at a level where I feel I can jump in.)

I was thinking something like this:
Bar 1: 2H Sword
Searing Strike
Wrecking Blow or Brawler (additional AOE/damage shield)
Executioner
Critical Charge/Stampede/Critical Rush
Forward Momentum
Ultimate: Dawnbreaker or Magma Armor

Bar 2: 2H Mace
Burning Breath (for armor reduction & AOE)
Silver Shards/Leash
Ash Cloud or Brawler (for AOE shield)
Reflective Scale (haven't unlocked morph)
Green Dragon Blood
Ultimate: Standard of Might

What do you think? Would I really be better off learning to love Bow or DW offspecs?

    Replace Dragon blood with vigor and replace everything else with Wrecking Blow

    you want 2h and DW with that setup. you have no 2h skills on your 2nd bar and DW will give you more weapon damge. Here are my bars with 2h/DW.

    bar 1:

    1) Stampede- I find the snare much more usefull for landing your WB than the extra damage gained for crit rush.
    2) Wrecking Blow
    3) Executioner
    4) Dragon Fire Scale- I like this on my main bar because of the reaction time needed.
    5) Rally

    Ultimate: Take flight- use WB or entropy passive from mages guild to buff before using this ult so you get 20% more damage

    Bar 2

    1) Shuffle- you will need a CC removal and provides a good dodge rating
    2) Volitile Armor- Provides 12% extra healing passive and about 5k spell/armor resist
    3) Steel Tornado - great for grps fights while also providing a means to keep those pesky NBs from stealthing away
    4) Vigor- Nuff said
    5) Igneous shield- small damage shield and 30% healing increase

    Ultimate: either Flawless Dawnbreaker for 8% increased weapon damage or Standard your call.

    Just this Scrubs normal setup, it provides for 42% increased healing with no CP contribution while dealing out a nice chunk of damage an can be used solo or grp play. Using a 2h mace is a must for PvP... drop the sword unless you are a PvE'er in which case for PvE use sword because the axe bleed is getting fixed in the next patch.

    The problem is WB is soooo powerful that any other attack seems weak and pointless compared to it. Just spam WB and you should have no problems.

    I could make a strong argument for an invasion/shielded assault ransack bash build thats incredibly powerful 1v1, and tanky as all hell 1vX, but eh, keep on with the fotm.

    Wrecking blow spam is so six months ago. Honestly, people get too obsessed with quick burst.

    1h/s + DW (DW simply as a buffbar for more weapon damage, maybe a flying blade for a range option, maybe throw your take flight on that bar) The real magic of the build is you take very little damage compared to glass cannons, and can still put out 9k+ DPS pressure damage. Dont need a spike with that, DKs naturally have enough built in resource management with earthen heart + battle roar passives that you dont even need high regenerations, just high stat pools and weap damage.

    Having no 2-handed weapon also gives you more set diversity. Can make some pretty complex builds with double weaponslots on both bars. Im rather favoring endurance/agility maces, agility sword shield, and mixed jewelry to give me benefits of both sets while still having room for both a five and a 2 piece set.


    I also hate the word "viable" I can make a stamina resto staff build "viable" if I really wanted to.

    I have started playing around with a DK stam pvp build like this, 1h/s + DW swords. I am still sorting through the gear, but am wearing 2h+ 5m. What crafted sets do you recommend? Currently wearing 5 Hundings, 2 Affliction, with endurance jewels and agility weapons/shield. Its been a pretty decent setup, but wondering if something like Twice Born is better?

    2 engine guardian 4 morkuldin 1 nights silence mace and s&b nights silence 3 agility jewelry

    S&b heroic slash reverb bash igneous sheild defensive posture/vigor volatile armor ferocious leap

    2h maul or axe. Wrecking blow stampede/critrush shuffle unstable flame rally. Corrosive armour

    Stamped in wrecking blow light attack unstable flame them. Switch bars light attack heroic slash and bash them to interupt then reverb bash

    If you are ina pinch 1vx ferocious leap to get resources back and do big damage if you are in a bad 1vx or 1vzerg pop immovable potion and crit rush through zerg and los them to leave or get reaady for a stand

    No Take Flight, No Igneous Shield, Dragon Blood. I do not like this build one bit. I do not like it at all good sir.
