Like really @ZOS_GinaBruno what were you guys thinking ?????? Really what was going through those head when some one came up with the idea of non-reflectable meteors.

Meteor can be dodged and blocked.
A fully charged Ice Comet of mine on PTS which has a tooltip damage of over 16k in Cyrodiil does 2-3k when blocked. It's still telegraphed and can be dodged.
This change is fine. Not only does it place a circle on you, it makes a noise to let even the slow players become aware they are being meteored.
As the title says, the pts patch notes look like there could be some interesting changes for pvp land, what do you all think?
Lowering the AP needed for each rank sounds vague, I wonder if it will be retrospectively done to everyone, what about people already at 10?
Changes to barrier, purge, rapid and siege look good too.

It can be dodged?
I know it can be blocked, but it is a projectile, are nb's still going to be able to simply just cloak it?
Though the zergs are going to be meteor happy knowing there is no downside to using it.

How exactly do sorcs come into this? And of classes DK's reflect counters sorcs the hardest anyway

He's referring to the sorc burst dmg abilties, cfrags (reflectable), curse and mages fury.
If you add Meteor and Proxy Det you're looking at an insane amount of burst dmg when times correctly.

Meteor can't be countered because every class has at least 1 CC that goes through block, if you're not killing people with meteor on the PTS its because you're most likely bad
EDIT: for example a DK casts meteor, counts to 3, fossilizes you, you eat the full meteor

Meteor can full well be countered.
Im almost certain Absorb Magic from 1 hand and Shield will absorb the whole meteor and heal you ..it said Meteor can't be "Reflected" never said nothing about being "Absorbed"
Harness Magicka/Dampen Magic is also a very viable counter to Meteor, or any shield stack.
Block it followed my roll
Using a Major Ward Buff such as Volatile Armor, Boundless Storm, etc to buff your defenses and points in Elemental Defender negate its damage significantly.
Not running around in Cyrodiil with less then 25k health
just some options, but Meteor is still counterable just in diffferent ways.
Totally not trying to come off as snarky, smart or anything like that. Absorb Magic on the Sword and Board line will be VERY good this patch....they upped the amount it can absorb by a good margin. Try it out.

I think non-reflectable meteor is fair. It is very costly ultimate and it can already be blocked, dodged and mitigated very easily. Nightblades can cloak it. Templars can cleanse it. DKs can block it. Sorcs have to block and streak away.
not like this is any different on live, you can only block, roll dodge, reflect so much. when an entire zerg comes at you, all flailing and wearing prox dets and dropping meteors your only option is lean into it or throw up a middle finger as a last act of defiance.
