battle Ax bleed damage exploit needs to go

Agreed. Some additional information about this:

Do you know how this exploit came to life? It came because they tried to fix the Axe Bleeding not really working at all and just being reapplied again and again.

They did this with a bandaid fix: put a chance to apply it so it won't overwrite itself all the time.

And again a Bugfix made everything worse.

This fix worked partly for dualwield - You have 8% chance to procc bleeding per axe. It only works for one axe though and does not increase to 16% for two axes as it should.

For 2h though it is completely bugged and has a 100% chance to procc on EVERY damage in the game.

While wielding a 2h Axe I can reflect a Crystal Fragment and watch the Sorcerer bleed from it.

Or my Flames of Oblivion hitting somebody randomly and he starts bleeding.

It goes even this far: I can use any attack on a different bar without any axe on that bar and animationcancel said attack with a weapon swap to my 2h axe and enemies will start bleeding: If you have a 2h Axe on your bar when your damage hits somebody he will start bleeding.

Is this a new bug? I've made a Two-Handed Axe for my character not that long ago and it seemed to work like it should. I'll test it out when I'm back home.

ZOS fixing bugs scares me more than it makes me happy.
But this one HAS to go, even when it makes axes 1 shot the user.

ayup! beat it cupcake you deserve to lose it all when investing in a known exploit.

I love being challenged to 1v1's only to die to 12k worth of bleeding :/

You shouldn't care if it is bugged or not bugged then and just live with it getting fixed.

    What is this question even.

The amount of total scrubs that switched to a two-handed axe just because of this bug is a bit saddening. And as usual it's almost always the people pretending to be top tier players. Hell, they even post 'awesome' videos on these forums thinking nobody will notice.

I got killed with it so much i crafted an axe. I mean might as well everyone uses it on me. @Lava_Croft is correct too it was mainly the "top tier" players using it on me. I already have trouble fighting them probably because they use nonstop bugs and exploits

If they can't fix bleed they need to just apply one of the other buffs (crit, damage, armor penetration) until they do fix it. The 100% bleed proc is annoying to the few non-2 shot fights Cyrodiil does have.

I've been sticking to my swords and daggers diligently during this, but it's a little difficult to stream when most gankers you see are exploiting this.

Ok, you do know this bug lowers your overall DPS right?

If the bleed refreshes itself every time you hit someone with an auto then the Bleed effect never actually get to tick.

So standard combat flow is ability/light attack/ability/light attack. This is done for the animation canceling and it is pretty standard to maximize dps. If you are using an axe and following the most efficient way to DPS then the bleed attack will never get to tick because you just keep refreshing it before the first tick occurs. It would be a boost to axe wielders DPS if this bug was resolved, not a nerf, so calling this an exploit means you don't actually know how to DPS properly.

^ QFT. The bleed never ticks because it is constantly refreshed. The 100% would only fully affect you if they hit you once.

That's still only affecting you while he is using the other weapons. You still only get hit with the bleed once every 6 seconds.

I use a precise maelstrom 2h axe so its even better lol. A nice callout though I guess Im one of the few who uses it correctly. I think lefty said it best "Battle axes can compete this patch." I think he meant to say "Battle axes are broken as hell." Also I would edit your post as naming and shaming is against the forum rules. Have a nice day!

Nothing wrong with using an exploit if everyone else is using it - otherwise you're unnecessarily putting yourself at a disadvantage against everyone who does ~

Besides, more people exploiting the axe bug makes it more likely to be looked at in the future.
