main reason? less people moaning about lack of siege since it only takes half the amount to reach the cap, the added damage means they'll be useful again, less sieges might even mean less lag but also less sieges means they'll have more reasons to PROTECT them while allowing more free hands to activly defend the walls and/or field/keep.
i only see one con with this, it would be easier to greif a keep by placing oils to force a cap. but thats why i feel they should increase the unmanned damage by double or even triple, so they break MUCH faster unattended.
