LOL, what gave you the impression that 87% of this community wanting something meant anything to the developers?

Wrobel shocked us all with the alacrity of his response to player outcry over AoE caps in just a mere 2 years after the complaints.
Wrobel further demonstrated his astute acumen as an ambassador to the player community by following this lightning fast response with the unflinching decision that AoE caps "are not up for change" in his latest TS meeting.
Begone foul naysayers and rumor mongerers, the truth is not yours to corrupt.
Could say the same about the person/people who created an in-game mail applet without a reply button...Teargrants wrote: »Lies! Slander! ZOS does care!Joy_Division wrote: »Waffennacht wrote: »I don't think I've read anyone in favor of the gap closer stun... or heard it in voice chat...

Still makes me wonder how he managed to get that job.

Wrobel already said he's going to change it to a 0.75 sec 60% snare to help you "better escape outnumbered situations."Lava_Croft wrote: »@ZOS_GinaBruno: I know issues like this don't really fit into all the marketing nonsense that states ESO is doing great, but any word on the status of this incredibly annoying piece of unavoidable CC that does nothing but favor the already overpowered zergs would be very welcomed.

Which is - quite frankly said - gonna make the situation even worse.
I can´t even fathom the though process one must have had to think this is going to improve the situation. Movement speed buffs should softcounter gapclosing (imo) - let´s make gapclosing hardcounter movement speed buffs because reasons (wrobel).
Every pvp topic he approaches is touched with absolute carebear attitude only endorsing the feelings many pvp players have - the lead combat designer does not play pvp and has no idea how to balance it.
The worst is when the zerg has such laughable damage that the torture lasts too long. For me cyrodiil has been reduced to standing far away and pewpewing with my bow until I get slammed by a 20 man gap closer zerg.
Incentive to go to cyrodiil -1/10.

Yes ..yes..... but will they stack when gang stunned to 60% @ 0.75, 120% @ 1.5, 180% : 2.25 etc... ?
Stun, root, mezz, who cares? Ever encountered one of them spam-squads? 5 to 10 people engage the same target all with gap closers, even as a stamina class you can't block enough. Dodge won't work, abilities won't work, you sit there to die. This is apparently the new thing for the cool kids, or "new meta" for smallscale. One: It's not a stun, but a 1 second root currently.
Two: It doesn't stack even now, it's always 1 second, unless they time it properly which could result in a perma root, but still not stacking.
Sadly there is no immunity to roots/snares, so until this changes it will remain possible to perma root/snare someone indefinitely with certain skills, gap closer or not.
