What determines AP rewarded per player kill? Level? My DPS? Some combination? Length of his killstreak?
I've noticed it varies from kill to kill, and don't think it can be completely attributed to other allies in the area soaking up a percentage of the AP. (example: another ganker in the area who didn't participate and I can't see).
Seems like there has to be several factors. Percentage of the kill (damage) done, how long the battle lasts (capped at some number), and rank/level. When I stick by myself, I see between 500 to 900 pretty often per kill. In a group of 8 to 12, I see a lot less (even if I'm the only one fighting someone).
From what I know from a solo perspective because you'll get less with multiple people around. Is fighting someone will give you the total ap but some people are worth more for reasons like kill streaks and higher pvp ranks, the highest I got was about 1k something.
My v16 has never killed anyone solo that I can remember. Only in groups. So I never paid attention to the AP. Last night my level 34 NB killed a v3 player and was rewarded 789AP. I now want to go kill more people solo.
I believe it is a combination of: How long the player has been alive, how much AP they've gained since they've last died and how many people have tagged that person when they die. I'm not sure what the cap is but from my experience I think it's somewhere around 1k.
its composed of yours and his aliance rank, time since his last death (10mins + = 100% ; 30sec = 1-2%), your % participation of the kill, wich is then devided by the number of groupmembers +/- a few %.
